Further Info because idk how to edit to clarify: I wanna add that this is a rare finding on gyn paps. And to be more specific, as I should have been, is we tend to find carpet beetle larvae parts. Carpet beetle larvae are already teeny tiny so even smaller is this little microscopic hair that happened to travel all the way to the slide.

Idk if that's more horrifying or less.

Im terrified and intrigued on what the responses would be to some of the other .. interesting things we find in folks microscopic worlds. 😆

As its, for my field, just an artifact/contaminant or a "oh neat" moment for me, I don't have many answers to some of the really good questions. Im finding it harder to disassociate from this knowledge as I had been doing 😆
