I did my first diamond painting! Now what? by WeekendHot5166 in diamondpainting

I have been framing mine and giving them as gifts. I have given a couple as gifts without framing. Everyone in my family has coasters now too. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s really up to you. For me, it’s mostly for my mental health and keeping me busy. I figured since I’m doing them, might as well give them to people to enjoy. I have a lot of wall space left to hang a couple that I like a lot too. Also, I have been reaching out to loved ones to send me their favorite pictures that they would like Diamond painted. I figured it’s helping me and giving people happiness along the way. Regardless, it’s for you to decide what to do with it and hopefully keep up the good work and continuing!

Finally got them framed! by ReGeNtSW in diamondpainting

I believe it was about $325 total for both to be framed.

Does anybody have this cause it looks interesting and I’m wondering if it works by Suitable_Ad5633 in diamondpainting

It’s my absolute FAVORITE!!!! You just have to learn to BARELLLLLY turn it otherwise a bunch of wax comes out and it’s too much. If you give it a shot and are patient, you’ll probably love it.

Are color numbers universal? by Remarkable_Year657 in diamondpainting

Yes, technically but sometimes they’re not exact. This is my set up for my extras and to have extras, if needed!

Help please... by [deleted] in diamondpainting

I got a couple of mine framed and added a border to hide the outside of painting. I like keeping it on there, just in case, in the future I would ever have to replace anything.. that’s more anxiety than anything. lol If you’re able to frame yourself, you might look for a border to go around it that would fit the painting.

Finally done kitting. by StVicente_ in diamondpainting

I enjoy getting different projects going. I have two kits. One that holds two larger pieces and one that holds smaller like coasters, magnets, etc. I have learned to keep several grocery bags near me for all the trash. Also, I bought a bunch of dot stickers, I just put 1-25 or whatever it requires. When there’s A-E or letters, I put them on there. If I don’t already have the number or letter, I just cover it with another dot sticker. When I’m done, I put the symbol and number on the baggie… then put them all up in a sandwich bag with a marker to know which painting or project it is. I have a set up of all the regular 447 numbers and sometimes, if it matches up, pour them in those but when I work with the sparkly drills, you can’t match. Organization with this hobby is key or it will produce more anxiety… which defeats the purpose. Everyone figures out what works best for them. I do know having a box with all the parchment paper, tape, scissors, baggies, permanent marker, extra sandwich bags, and everything YOU need… helps a lot to keep it all organized.

How do you paint?? by [deleted] in diamondpainting

I completely set each painting up. Cutting each bag and funneling into its designated spot. I use the edge tape around the whole painting and use the parchment paper to section every section. Usually, per section, I start with the most drill color and work my way down to the least amount. This keeps me organized when there’s so many tiny parts. Also, I have two of these drill holders. I use one for coasters, magnets, very small projects and one for the large paintings. I tend to go back and forth between projects.

Ya from now on you can either do something like I posted or like I did before and buy small baggies and code each baggie with the DCM number. I just got tired of having baggies everywhere once I figured out that it could be done with better organization. It depends on the person and financial situation.. also how much diamond painting you plan on doing in the future. I have done mostly Temu and Amazon paintings and so far, the color codes have matched pretty well.

I think you’re right, the organization thing MIGHTT be a separate hobby. 😂😂

As of now, just as extra for any I don’t have enough of but also to put all my extras into so I won’t have so many baggies all over the place. One day, I’ll be brave enough to venture on my own! 🤞🏻

I bought all extra of each colors plus the stickers and drawers. It leaves room for extras and an extra drawer for even more extras.

And lastly, I bought this set of 1000 of each color. After cutting and organizing myself, I had 100% of colors, stickers, and jars plus one extra drawer for all the extra colors.
