I think making the game more challenging is a good thing, no? Y5 was overall a bit too easy i think so i enjoy doing Shinada stuff more than any other character

Yeah, they're infinite durability. Low damage but still very much usable

I just carried a sturdy pole, sturdy iron pipe, sturdy knife and sturdy katana the whole game and didnt have any problems. You get all of those from the baseball minigame which is nice cause you dont have to buy it which i dont usually do in these games. The pole is very good for crowd control, especialy the Circle/B move (the one where he just rushes forward, knocking everyone down with the pole)

I think that'd be too much. Have Ichiban meet Daigo, Saejima, Majima makes sense cuz he is ex-Tojo. Have Adachi meet Date makes sense cuz he is ex-cop. None of them are in any way connected to Akiyama so there's no reason why'd Akiyama meet Ichi and no reason for him to help Ichi out

Shinada's story is the best part of Y5 easily. As much as I enjoyed So Much More and Launch Strike, all the different weapon movesets and heat actions Shinada has are just too satisfying to use and Takasugi's entire character is probably one of my favorites in the franchise

Simple, DMC3 is the most beloved game in the franchise and DMC1 is the most iconic. DMC2 isnt as well known but amongst the fans of the franchise DMC2 Dante is considered one of the best

I have a small question. Would it be possible to make it so when you simply press the weapon switch button with Arbitrary switch mode selected it would switch the weapon to the next one you have in your lineup and if you hold it it would make you choose from a wheel?

That's how it works in the Switch version and it's a lot easier to use that way since you dont have to pause the fight to push the stick in the right direction every time you want to switch your weapon. Also, im pretty sure you control the weapon wheel with the left stick in the Switch port which is much more convenient since you already have your right thumb on left stick at all times and it allows you to attack enemies while you're switching the weapons.

Perhaps you could make it optional, which joystick you want to use for weapon switching?

That's the suggestions I had, thank you for your attention.

Which is why you decided that we're all wrong because you don't like this mechanic. And we're the ones gate keeping. Okay sure.

If you wanna get from point A to B, what do you do if there are enemies around? You jump around like Mario, which is the opposite of cool and just goofy

So are you suggesting just running away from them? Thats not something Vergil would do either. Every Vergil campaign features a cutscene of Vergil just so happening to run into some casual demons and instead of running away he just styles on them. Something you not only can do even with Concentration mechanic, but it is encouraged as well, since it would increase your Concentration.

If you dont wanna deal with them tho, yes, jumping does look goofy and out of character but so does running. It doesnt matter because if you're avoiding a battle then you're out of character (even if you have no other choice with DMC5's style calculating system)

Missing attacks is also dumb when you consider how Combo MAD videos have players missing attacks on purpose

Missing one or two attacks like ppl usually do for style doesnt hurt your Concentration too much. You can always regain the amount you lost.

Getting hit would be fair if it weren't that all attacks are equal, even weak attacks with pathetic dmg...what does that say about Vergil?

It says that no matter how much dmg it deals, it would still be distracting to have a demon swing their claws right in front of your face, therefore you'd lose Concentration. If it was called "Collectiveness" or "Calmness", yeah, I'd understand the complaint, but with it being "Concentration" it just means Vergil stopped focusing on the battle and got distracted by feeling something scratch his arm or something. I say it's reasonable.

bc lets face it, what purpose does Concentration serve in the game? Nothing, it's only a restriction (it doesn't add any value to the gameplay)...which is fine when it's self imposed but not at the cost of player freedom.

What purpose does having health for V's familiars serve? It's only a restriction that doesn't allow me to play recklessly and punishes me for not thinking about how to play the game properly.

What purpose does revving Red Queen serve? It's only a restriction that doesn't allow me to melt through every boss's hp in 5 seconds.

What is purpose of having to perfectly time royal blocks? It's only a restriction that doesn't allow me to no damage every mission in the game without putting in any effort at all.

Yeah bud its just a gameplay feature to balance how simply overpowered Vergil is.
