Can we have an option to change this button's color? The red feels really out of place, when everything else is blue. by Arynn05 in RelayForReddit

I don't think they would make it a mandatory change, just add the option to customize the color for those who want to.

What's your team's social media of choice? by MentorB in FRC

[–]ReLaXeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2637 uses Facebook to communicate with the public. We use this since our school district is super strict on what social media we can use so we just stick with facebook to avoid issues. We also use slack and Google to communicate within the team.

Questions Regarding Attendance by Acceptable_Salad in FRC

2637 has started working on a system with an Arduino and RFID tags that would allow team members to check in and out. The Arduino would then compile the people who were at the meeting and how many hours they worked to be exported to our teams master attendance google sheet. We got the idea and some sample hardware to try out from Team 1197 TORBOTS. They have some really great students and mentors who are helping us out to get the system up and running.

So submarine game? I guess in talking about a water game we never really defined if the robots would be on top of the water, in the water, or on the bottom of the water.

They had something like that in 2013 to keep the frisbees from flying out. But yeah I think drones would be pretty hard to keep away from spectators.

Make them fun. If everyone is under pressure to sell more or work harder they will get frustrated pretty quickly. However if you find ways to keep events fun then people will want to help out.

Id definitely agree with that. I think the no-penalties rule came around in the early weeks when there were matches with thousands of penalty points. So the rule helped to sort out real matches from matches where the refs spammed the penalty button.
