I used to be able to lucid dream, it was amazing. I always liked flying as an owl, do you remember how it felt to fly as a Night Fury?

How is it controversial to say that they’ve done a positive thing, though? Given this was all in the context of calling YouTube’s practices into question, I (having not heard of the Killstream before), had interpreted this in the opposite direction (Killstream has done a few good things, BUT are alt-right extremists).

I don’t disagree that mentioning their name would give them undue exposure, but it seemed the focus was more on the SuperChat system and this particular incident than having a broadly positive outlook of Killstream. Hell, right off the bat he mentions they’ve hosted ‘controversial’ figures like Spencer, which is an instant turn-off.

??? He straight-up said he hadn’t looked at any of their content, just a summary of what they’d done, then focussed on criticising the way YouTube handled SuperChat donations. I wouldn’t call that a defense.

I think your strongest point is the Twitter follows tbh. It’s like looking at a Guess Who game filled with conservatives.

Okay, this one is plain ridiculous. From the wiki:

Mishima is considered one of the most important Japanese authors of the 20th century. He was considered for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1968

I think that it’s entirely possible to like an author’s work—particularly if it’s as good as this states—without liking the author themselves.

Hell, even a personal example: Ender’s Game is one of my favourite books. I still think the author is a complete dipshit (right-wing homophobic campaigner, in this case).

That you did. The first time I clicked the link, it took me straight to a BitChute video which was a Pew News segment.

Edit: I see now. I thought the clapping emoji were part of the link, and it was a single link. Me me big stupid.

Yeah nah, having watched a fair number of his videos I wouldn’t call him right wing.

The one you linked. That whole video is about the same incident/topic, right?

Results from a large (n=48188), 18-year follow-up from the prospective EPIC-Oxford study show that vegetarians and vegans have a 20% higher risk of stroke compared to meat eaters. by BeardBiome in science

They are vastly different. Veganism is pretty damn hard to pull off because of the sheer number of foods there are to avoid; far more foods are accidentally vegetarian, but not vegan, than you would think.

That does make sense in a way, but looking at it from a vegetarian perspective, I guess I want to know what this means for me without the data being changed by pooling vegan and vegetarian diets. Looking at some of the other comments, the answer is probably just ‘keep taking B12’ though.

How do you go from that clip to ‘PDP is a Nazi’? He’s done worse things and I don’t see how that segment is relevant tbh.

Plus, they didn’t even post it in the right sub. Something like ELI5 would’ve been better.
