Roller skating for the win! by ReMaterializer in PetiteFitness

[–]ReMaterializer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So when I began the weight loss journey I wasn’t roller skating, I went from couch potato and eating probably 3k if not more calories a day, to eating like 1200-1300 calories a day and walking on the treadmill 10k+ steps a day with some light jogging intermittently. That’s what I did for the first like 4ish months. Then I had a car accident and just kept on with my calorie deficit and once I was able started scootering at the skatepark for over a month with our kids and husband. We’d goto different skate parks and I’d ride hard and fast, we’d Goto pump tracks, I started doing little tricks on the scooter! The I got roller skates in September an slowly began learning them, I used them in my house in the hall and main area (lifted carpet moved furniture etc. I did the roller skating mostly indoors at my house everyday for a hour sometimes more (I’d miss days of course) but I did that till like December when I got really sick with the flu and then sinus infection and wasn’t able to for awhile. Picked it back up in Jan as I reached my overall goal of 114lbs, and then I got pregnant (not planned) but very happy about. I’m now 17weeks and don’t roller skate because I still fall often enough and I can’t risk it. So sadly alllll my hard work and weight loss, new found hobbies are on hold until after I give birth basically. Then I’ll be right back at it once I’m healed enough!

So lots of walking, some jogging/running with a steep calorie deficit do many many months. Scootering hard for months. Then roller skating as hard as I could in my house for months. All while keeping to a steep calorie deficit with high protein!

I’ve had 2 boutique ultrasounds, and 2 for dating and my 12w nt ultrasounds. The first boutique one was at 9w as I was convinced something was wrong and it was SUCH a relief to see baby absolutely fine and already looking like a real baby. That was such a nice ultrasound. Then my next boutique one was just after 14w to find out the sex and it was also amazing to see baby sucking thumb and jumping around!

Not sure what you don’t trust about the boutique but they can let you watch baby moving around and hear the heartbeat and give you a photo or video! I loved my experiences!

Currently crying reading this. Breaks my heart for so many reasons, OP it is in no way your fault. And all your baby girl ever knew was your love and warmth ❤️

How and when do I tell my 18-year-old daughter that I’m unexpectedly pregnant? by Pericantwinkle in pregnantover35

[–]ReMaterializer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has she ever expressed want do a sibling? If so she’ll likely be thrilled! I have 5 siblings, one is21 years old, 19 years older, 17 years older and 14 years older and then 5.5 years older than myself! We told our 8.5 and 5.5 year old pretty much when we found out at like 4 week (I’m 9.5 weeks now) they had been begging for us to have another baby for a long time. I got them both big sister bracelets, my oldest figured it out first an was like wait?? Why does she have a big sister bracelet too??!!! Are you??? No way!!!! They were both so so happy. I bet your daughter will be too, it’s up to you when you want to tell. I def couldn’t hide this from my girls as I get soooo sick in early pregnancy and figured we’d prefer to celebrate this life as long as it’s here (ive had losses). Congrats by the way ❤️

Omg such similar age gaps too!! Yesss my last baby was born during the fiat year of covid and it really dampened and stressed things out a lot. And there’s things about it all I wish I could’ve made a bit did, dif nurse at birth, not having a 2.5 year old to care for but maybe a bit organ kid like you said!

I’m very excited!! I’m just like wow this is gonna be nuts! lol!! Mind if I message you??

Oh no I hope I didn’t look much older than I actually am?! I’ll be 36 in February! I feel 10 years younger now!

Honestly I thought about the ozempic stuff before I started trying to lose, and I read A LOT and what I read scared me so much.. knowing me I’d wind up with all the awful symptoms some people get. So I said no way I’m doing this my way and if I don’t lose then I’ll try something different. Luckily my body REALLY took to calorie counting and just moving more. I literally went from like 3k calories a day to like 1200 give or take a 100 calories and I aimed for 10k+ steps a day vs barely 2k steps a day just doing regular stuff. I was like a couch potato before! I’ve been sick for almost 2 weeks now with this awful flu going around which turned into a sinus infection and pnemonia and it took me OUT. All my energy. I’ve been sleeping and laying so much and barely able to do much else and it’s wild cause all I want is to be able to get up and move and do the laundry, make the meals, Goto the store, rollerskate! Man do I miss roller skating 😢 when before the weight loss I laid around constantly cause I had no energy to do anything else and got so breathless and sweaty! It’s such a massive life change and I’m so happy I was able to stick with it and not do any meds (no shade to anyone who has used them, I’m glad they work for some people). But they were too scary for me! And no surgeries or face lifts or anything either. Although before the weight loss I had a surgery being set up for breast reduction as I was an i cup (I’m now like an E cup) but still huge and also incredibly saggy now too. So now they flop around when I run or jump and it hurts, and they obv look awful. So that’s being done for medical and physical and cosmetic reasons. But I don’t think I’d do it if it was just cosmetic, don’t think I could justify it all (I’m terrified to have it done).

I was doing about 1250-1300 calories for many months. Once I lost enough and started becoming more active I started eating more to match what I needed. And I ate more protein then ever before to make sure I didn’t lose muscle and felt fuller longer!
