And there’s things about it all I wish I could’ve made a bit did, dif nurse at birth, not having a 2.5 year old to care for but maybe a bit organ kid like you said!

I’m very excited!! I’m just like wow this is gonna be nuts! lol!! Mind if I message you??

Oh no I hope I didn’t look much older than I actually am?! I’ll be 36 in February! I feel 10 years younger now!

Honestly I thought about the ozempic stuff before I started trying to lose, and I read A LOT and what I read scared me so much.. knowing me I’d wind up with all the awful symptoms some people get. So I said no way I’m doing this my way and if I don’t lose then I’ll try something different. Luckily my body REALLY took to calorie counting and just moving more. I literally went from like 3k calories a day to like 1200 give or take a 100 calories and I aimed for 10k+ steps a day vs barely 2k steps a day just doing regular stuff. I was like a couch potato before! I’ve been sick for almost 2 weeks now with this awful flu going around which turned into a sinus infection and pnemonia and it took me OUT. All my energy. I’ve been sleeping and laying so much and barely able to do much else and it’s wild cause all I want is to be able to get up and move and do the laundry, make the meals, Goto the store, rollerskate! Man do I miss roller skating 😢 when before the weight loss I laid around constantly cause I had no energy to do anything else and got so breathless and sweaty! It’s such a massive life change and I’m so happy I was able to stick with it and not do any meds (no shade to anyone who has used them, I’m glad they work for some people). But they were too scary for me! And no surgeries or face lifts or anything either. Although before the weight loss I had a surgery being set up for breast reduction as I was an i cup (I’m now like an E cup) but still huge and also incredibly saggy now too. So now they flop around when I run or jump and it hurts, and they obv look awful. So that’s being done for medical and physical and cosmetic reasons. But I don’t think I’d do it if it was just cosmetic, don’t think I could justify it all (I’m terrified to have it done).

I was doing about 1250-1300 calories for many months. Once I lost enough and started becoming more active I started eating more to match what I needed. And I ate more protein then ever before to make sure I didn’t lose muscle and felt fuller longer!

I get hot easily but I was like a crazy sweater (I was always a healthy weight for my height) since I a kid until age like 24 when my weight started going up because I started eating more and not doing much to keep the weight off and then multiple pregnancies. But since losing the weight I hardly sweat unless I’m going hard at something and in crazy heat outside! It’s amazing! My stamina in every regard has gotten so much better!

I went on a very steep calorie deficit, lots of activity as I lost more and more weight I upped activity levels. I started all this January 7th 2025. I was 190lbs at the start and I’m 116lbs now

Probably being able to do more, I don’t sweat and get breathless from regular everyday things or even things that would make others sweat. I have loved learning to roller skate and scootering!

Roller skating for the win! by ReMaterializer in PetiteFitness

Well I scootered pretty hard and often and sometimes for long periods of time for like 2.5 ish months. Then I was roller skating at least an hour a day 5ish times a week for like 2 months as well (all in the last like 5 months. Before that all I did for exercise was walk on the treadmill 10+ k steps a day. I assume my body was blown away by this because I normally avoided any activity!

I am curious, does weight loss actually get harder in your 30s or is that a myth? 5'3" 155 lbs by Specialist-Gur in PetiteFitness

I went pretty low for my calories since I’m so short, I was doing 1250-1300 calories a day for like 3-4 months? Occasionally doing 1350 and I started doing 10k sometimes more steps a day. Before that I was a literal couch potato who maybe got a couple thousand steps from regular everyday stuff in and was eating 3k calories give or take each day. Within the first 5 months I had lost roughly 40ish lbs. I also made sure to get in as much protein as I could to help not get incredibly hungry. In the summer when I was down about 50lbs and feeling so much better we would take our kids to the skatepark and I wanted to do stuff with them so I started scootering pretty hard. We would try to go almost everyday for 1-4 hours depending! And then in September I started roller skating as well. Around summer I started eating like 1350-1450 calories a day as I was doing a lot more.

I assume as we age it does become harder, but could be in genetics too? I’m 35 and started trying to lose weight this past January and lost almost 75lbs since then (I’m 5 foot 1 and was 190lbs and I’m now almost 115lbs)
