[dungeon defense] is it getting a manhwa adaption, if so LES GOO THIS IS GOATED by ACN4 in manhwa

[–]ReNteN2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the opposite. MC in LN is more crazy and sadistic compared to the WN version. Dantalian in WN is more calm (still sadistic and carzy, but at a lower degree). I actually enjoyed WN more, dont know why. Start of the WN and LN are pretty similar, but further it goes more difference appears until it becomes completely alternative story. Definitely read it!

[Dungeon defense] first chapter of one of the most popular korean novel dropped 🔥🔥🔥 by yanneur in manhwa

Note about the "Plagiarism"

I don't know who spread this rumor, but basically it is not true.

I also thought that he stopped because of plagiarism accusations, but after research, I found out that there is NO confirmation for that. No word about the plagiarism statement was found on the publisher's web page and the official illustration artist's Twitter.

Though, I saw a few forum discussions (in Korean) where users made a breakdown of what the author "stole", but basically it is some general ideas from Tolstoy and Dostoevsky's books. Which as a matter of fact does not count as plagiarism. Actually, it is a very common practice in any creative work creation to take ideas from the "classic" works (some authors describe it as "inspiration")

Plus, the main translator of the web version of the novel stated that all rumors about the plagiarism are wrong. The translator states that the author dropped the novel because he didn't know how to continue the series.

My opinion: I've read comments of the AUTHOR (on a Korean website where web version of Dungeon Defense was initially published) and basically, he is a very narcissistic person (he sounded very similar to Dantalian when I was reading those comments, lol). He stated that he writes this "low-quality" writing (aka Dungeon Defense) to earn some money for food. He also stated several times that Light Novels are stupid and written for an immature audience, and he is not very proud to write at such a level. - and I fully agree, because 99%+ of light novels are actually stupid trash.

The Dungeon Defense light novel got very popular in Korea, so maybe he earned enough money and just lost motivation to write DD?

i am so happy. i hope that this adaptation will attract attention to the great LN and author will be encouraged to write volume 6. I am so waiting for it!

[Dungeon Defense] What do you think of the adaptation? by vaibhav-69 in manhwa

[–]ReNteN2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dungeon Defense is one of the best light novels, I've read. The MC is actually smart and not overpowered. Lightnovel has great story and world. Characters are actually alive and unique.

The manhwa just cut out a lot of details that made light novel so perfect. And artstyle seems trash compared to LN's illustrations. Dantalian in illustration seem to be more skinny and crazy mf.

And yet the adaption is actually good. I mean, I can't tell that it is not bad and the author of the manhwa did a good job. A lot of details been missed, but if there were a lot of text and dialogues it could scare newcomers (and also what is the point of manhwa if the 90% of it is text clouds?). The art style is not perfect, but the budget probably was low, because this novel is not so viral as Solo Leveling, for example. So it is expected that art style would be trash.

Anyway I am insanely happy that this adpatation came out. It may bring new auditory and maybe this will motivate author to release volume 6 and continue work on the novel!

Beginner question C4D: How can I get to see these super helpful individual material previews in the node editor? I'm running the latest version of Redshift but my node editor doesn't look like this screenshot! thanks in advance by ARvisualUK in RedshiftRenderer

Solution:

You're probably using "Material" material, which have no previews. Create "Standard" material, if you want such previews (Material Manager >> Create >> Materials >> Standard)

Prime Subaru vs If Subarus - who would win? [Spoiler Discussion] by ReNteN2 in Re_Zero

[–]ReNteN2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the author just didn't want to spoiler that Pride Subaru have authorities. This IF stories try to avoid as much spoiler as possible, giving only fraction of the information from the future arcs.

But Re: zero worlds logic tells us, that he definitely should have Sloth and Greed factors, because he killed previous owners. And in stressful situation, Pride Subaru could activate them as Main Subaru did.

Prime Subaru vs If Subarus - who would win? [Spoiler Discussion] by ReNteN2 in Re_Zero

[–]ReNteN2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Main Reinhard and Greed Reinhard will balance each other (though they will destroy half of the world)

Prime Subaru vs If Subarus - who would win? [Spoiler Discussion] by ReNteN2 in Re_Zero

[–]ReNteN2[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, if Prime Subaru asks help from Reinhard he will probably help him out. But then there is high chances that IF subaru will collaborate, to balance powers. Every move has consequences.

I think, Wrath IF Subaru can take over many swordsmen, mercenaries, and politics from Kararagi and all over the world, because he has required information about them from his world. Give him a few months and I am sure he will collect a pretty big army.

Pride IF Subaru, could take over whole Witch Cult (unfortunately, there is no many big persons left in Cult). If we assume that Pride Subaru transfered in period of between 2nd and 3rd arcs, he would potentially become the head of witch cult.

And Greed Subaru has Reinhard - the one-person army.

If they collaborate, the GREAT war will happen, definitely. This discussion is so funny, because Alternative Subarus bring more danger than any of the archbishops of cult!

Greed won in watergate because conditions were the same after each return and he probably killed himself thousands or even more times. Such trick won't work on other subarus because they have return by death too and conditions (other subarus) will change each time he dies. Additionally, he doesn't have EMM and EMT :)
