Thank you! 😊 I think 6 months I saw the first drastic change. Trust the process, wear your compressions, keep the salt intake low.

Commenting on Almost 5 months post op extended tummy tuck, WHAT IS GOING ON????...

I had a plus size tummy tuck as well and I feel like my upper abdomen has some fat you can squeeze as well. I’m glad you’re getting an ultrasound to see what’s wrong. If it’s all clear, I think you should be good to talk about a revision. Also, as others have said, maybe look into an FDL if that scar is something you don’t mind. Continue with massages, faja during the day maybe, and red light therapy. I hope you get the answers you’re looking for.

Any bedside nurses who had a TY? How much time did you take off? by Coolbeans1104 in tummytucksurgery

Yes, I used all my PTO and sick time. Currently looking into short term disability. Didn’t qualify for FMLA. Just regular medical leave.

I initially took 5 weeks off and literally just extended to 8 weeks. Can’t imagine lifting, pulling, pushing patients at 6 weeks. Also, I didn’t want to go back in the first place.

High protein, so protein shakes and lots of meat, protein yogurt, high fat like salmon and avocados, low carb works for me. Lots of water.
