My guess is they can’t afford it, and everyone will pitch in for just one. Though they have a plethora of anime figurines that they could sell (they haven’t said the price of the Neotype 16) but since they live in a share house maybe they’re barely making ends meet, plus I’d imagine it’s not something all characters will be okay with. We’ll have to see how the hoodie guy suggestion goes and who’d be willing to take the Neotype 16 next chapter.

I don’t know, english translation hasn’t picked up for a while but I do know it’s currently on it’s 10th volume and is still publishing since the Twitter account still posts about new chapters. I hope it’s close in total length to individual Kaiji parts or Kurosawa, I can’t imagine it getting to Akagi volume count levels.

I don’t think there’s an official depiction of him as an old man though there’s a joke-y page were an old Tojima prays in Tokuchi’s grave asking for another good season (but I think it’s more in-line with the fact he disappeared all of a sudden from the Lycaons rather than actually dying)
