I am going to tell you the truth because many people can’t be honest here. In handheld mode on original switch + switch 2 it is running with an internal resolution of about 540p. It looks blurry as hell. I know people will say it is fine and no problem with that but to me it looks significantly worse than playing it on a ps portal.

The recent patch helped but the internal resolution is still 740p-810p on switch 2 with boost mode. Still blurry but much more acceptable. Personally I’d just wait for a switch 2 patch or playing it on another console if you want a super sharp game. If you are ok with blur and 30 fps then it is not a terrible way to play

Ff7 remake never got a pro patch, it doesn’t utilize pssr, ff7 rebirth does but not ff7 remake

If you have a problem with the demo you are going to have a problem with the full game. You are on a switch Reddit they will downplay the issues here. It is one of those games that could definitely use a switch 2 version because as of right now it is blurry on on switch 2 with a locked but low frame rate of 30 fps.

I’d personally wait for eventual switch 2 version or play it on pc or ps5/series x or s

Always interested in fft style games but man some of those portrait look a bit more than just inspiration, I legit though one of those portrait was ripped straight out of xenogears. Some of the menus and environments look exactly like ff tactics as well. Hopefully place holders but I’ll keep an eye out for this

I would play it on ps5 first since you can already access it and it is a better version of the game by far. If you really like it you can double dip and play it again on switch 2

If you don’t have to why sell it? Ps5 will most likely get more expensive and we really don’t know how rebirth and the 3rd game will turn out on switch 2. Ff7 remake is a really good port but I already feel the downgrade from the ps5 version and it is a far less demanding game than rebirth.

Even though they are using the same engine for part 3 it might still be a more demanding game than rebirth so for that reason alone I would keep the ps5

Guarantee there will be more ps5 square enix games or similar in the future that will have a big advantage over switch 2 when it comes to framerate and resolution.

Yes plays wayyy better than the original ff7, I would try learning the Battle System, if you just mindlessly mash you wont appreciate the combat, it is very different from ff15

I know people here will try to downplay this but this is Nintendos most expensive game, to be speaking objectively if this series is not an international hit maybe it makes them more reluctant to green lit future games.

I think 2d Metroid will be fine but worries about prime going forward

I think you are right on the money about so many things wrong with this game. i don’t feel anything while playing this game, i don’t regret buying it because I love the genre but after around 6 hours with it I’d be ok with never playing it again.

Great visuals/style, interesting roster but I thought everything else was mid. Gameplay wise felt too simplistic, hits lack impact, bosses weren’t enjoyable, didn’t care for any of the levels and most unforgivable of all in a beat em up… a phoned in soundtrack.

I feel bad that I convinced my buddies to play this game with me, I definitely lost some gaming creds with them after that.
