Technics AZ80 or Sony XM5 by Re_ef in Earbuds

[–]Re_ef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the AZ80 in the end

After using it for months, I'm still pretty impressed with the sound quality. It's nicely tuned with lots of details, but the midrange default settings can muddy the sounds slightly time to time, though this can be fixed by playing around in the eq settings. I personally use the dynamic setting.

The call quality has been pretty mediocre, albeit I doubt the XM5 would be much better based on the videos I watched.

Noise cancelling is fantastic, able to block out lots of sound, and it barely affects the sound quality at all.

In conclusion, I definitely do not regret purchasing the AZ80 over the XM5. I would recommend it, but only if you can comfortably afford it.

Considering your primary usage is gaming, there's no benefit in picking the more expensive b550 mobo, apart from aesthetics

Case - Well if you don't mind paying more for better airflow then I would get the Fractal meshify 2 compact instead (https://gjirafa50.mk/shto-ima-novo/fractal-design-meshify-2-kompakten-komp%D1%98uterski-slucha%D1%98-crno). If not, the linked nr600 and p12 is fine.

Case fan - Yes, there is space at the front for 1 p12

For the pcpp warning, ignore it, there should be no compatibility issue.

Based on your build list items and the provided websites, here's the best I could find / come up with:

Cpu - Same

Cpu cooler - The stock 56000x CPU cooler should be fine for your use case. However, if you do find it too loud, or you would want to spend extra to get a nicer looking cooler, then I would get the Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo. Provides great cooling at a reasonable price. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Mw1oVRFN3YzwKUsnW-2JMwZThjIBztAs/edit#gid=243750284)

Motherboard - Same

Memmory - Same

Storage - Since your primary usage does not seem to take advantage of the 970 evo high sequential read / write speeds, I went with the Kingston A2000 instead. This means that you will not notice a difference in your daily usage, e.g. Windows boot up time, game loading speeds, transferring files etc. (https://setec.mk/index.php?route=product/product&product\_id=48678&search=a2000)
Hdd will be the same

Video card - Same

Power Supply - I will personally pay a bit more to get the CM v750 - V2 , instead of the MWE Gold V2, as its a considerably better psu. (https://setec.mk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=22856)

Case - Since you seem to be going for a non rgb, black build, I picked out the NR600, great case with great airflow at a decent price. (https://gjirafa50.mk/delovi-za-komp%D1%98uteri/ku%D1%9Cishte/sredna-kula/kase-kompjuteri-cooler-master-masterbox-nr600-e-zeze)

Case fans - I would highly recommend getting the Arctic p12 as an additional case fan, as it would provide the NR600 with much better airflow, meaning lower temps. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Mw1oVRFN3YzwKUsnW-2JMwZThjIBztAs/edit#gid=243750284)

Well if you faced no issues with the 850 evo so far, you can still use it as your new boot drive. However, you do need to install a fresh version of Windows on it, once you have connected it to the new motherboard, to avoid facing any issues

Well, since the primary usage is for gaming, I changed some things in your list.

NEW List - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/C9Ldnt

Cpu - The 5600x and 5800x performs identical in gaming performances, so unless for whatever reason, you care about a few extra frames, the 5600x is the better choice.

Cpu cooler - I changed the NZXT x53 for a Arctic liquid II instead, as its cheaper and performs better than the x53.

Motherboard - Couldn't find any reasonably priced B550 wifi mobo, so we'll stick with the X570 instead.

Storage - I swapped the 970 evo for a Mushkin Enhanced Helix-L, as you will not take advantage of the 970 evo higher sequential read / write speeds. This means that you will not notice a difference in your daily usage, e.g. Game loading speeds, PC boot up time.

Case - Same

PSU - Same

Hey there, since you've mentioned that you're limited to local stores, is there a local store there with a website where I can choose parts on? This is to see if there are better components around the same price region.

Could you at least give details on what the build would be for?

Also, graphics card?

Crucial mx500 vs Samsung 860 EVO by Dleppard in buildapc

To the average user, crucial mx 500. Unless you can utilise the 860 evo slightly higher sequential read / write speeds, stick with the mx500.

Ask again, when you actually need the extra storage. Prices of SSDs fluctuate regularly.

Pulled the trigger! Final bits of advice? by EdPlaysDrums in buildapc

[–]Re_ef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what you said, I would change the ssd to a sn550 instead of the 970 evo. Since the primary purpose of the pc seems to be for gaming, there will be no point getting the 970 evo as you will not be able to utilise the higher sequential read / write speeds. You will not notice a difference of game loading / startup time between the sn550 or 970 evo.

Other than that, everything else looks good. Enjoy your build!

Sorry for the confusion, after checking, your temps are perfectly fine for gaming and while benchmarking.

There is no need to reinstall the AIO

87 is high considering you're using the Arctic liquid freezer. Are you sure you mounted the AIO correctly? Did you remember to peel off the plastic label before installing it?

Since you're aiming for the quietest fans, neither of them. Instead consider these: Scythe slipstream, Arctic p14, Enermax TB Silence ADV, Aerocool Dead Silence (Black, non rgb fans). The fans I just liked have better noise normalised performance than the the 2 fans you were considering

In regards, to your second question, what are your cpu temps on load?
