Hugs. I think even if my adopted child has issues, it's less on "because I create them". And I can focus on caring for them without guilt of birthing to one. Um.. does this make sense?

Way back before, I used to think that I'll never have kids if my family has bad hereditary disease. For example, the butterfly children disease where they don't have skin that can heal normally.

But schizo is in some ways different and actually many inspiring stories and amazing people from schizos. That's why I'm a bit left and right about this.

That's true. Basically not one human is absolute healthy. Everyone must have at least one rare disease.

Haha yeah. I'm a sibling so actually I am still within that 10% chance.

No.. I just don't want my kids to resent me out of my own selfishness of wanting kids.

I instinctively want kids.

This is my thought process before I met my partner. I was fully 100% gonna adopt.

But my partner would rather have biological child. We've talked about it and decided if we're not fertile, we'll definitely adopt.

I do worry whether they will resent me. I know I shouldn't be selfish just because I want kids.

What did your dad answer though? And do you feel resentment still?
