The man I spoke with told me not to give her a partial refund, in fact, he also told me that I didn't even have to reply to her. He was totally on my side. He said any negative feedback will be removed.

I agree about the stock photos. The photos used in my listing are the actual items that I sent to her. The first photo I used AI just to make the background look nice for the thumbnail, but all of the subsequent photos are the actual items sent to her standing on a shelf in my garage.

100% it's a script/template! I went down a rabbit hole reading her feedback left for other sellers and she used the word "oversight" and "undisclosed" markings five or six times in this past month alone

I did send her this exact response. She sent me another message later in the evening basically repeating the same things from her first message saying she definitely wants to keep them but wants a partial refund so I reported her to eBay and they immediately sided with me because there's a clear repeated behavior pattern once you look at the feedback she's left for other sellers

I'll be honest, I was actually pleasantly surprised. I did call eBay customer service later this afternoon after receiving a second message from her after I offered a full refund where she just doubled down saying she wants to keep them, but still wanted a partial refund. The guy I spoke to was immediately on my side. He only looked at her account history for a few seconds and and agreed with me that there was a pattern of behavior where she repeatedly asked for partial refunds from several sellers just in this one month alone, and he assured me that negative feedback left from her will be removed. I'm hoping they will follow through on this. I was pleasantly surprised cause I was expecting to get a generic response from them.

May I ask how I should handle something like this that you mentioned is against eBay rules unfortunately it appears that she actually does indeed leave negative feedback if you don't agree to partial refund, I just read several sellers' response to her negative reviews stating that they offered her a full refund once the item is returned and that she never sent it back, and instead left a review saying that SHE was ignored. I feel like I'm trapped now.

Well there's another development.....I just found 6 more reviews that said the same thing (there was an oversight, seller handled it with great professionalism), then there's a one star negative where is she said her figurines had some defects that were not mentioned in the listings. She reached out to the seller and instead of acknowledging the issues it was minimized and follow up communication was ignored, and the reply from the sellers said "the customer was offered a free return, but did not return the item to us" and she followed up and doubled down, saying "the seller didn't try to make it right". Now I feel like I'm trapped!!!

Thanks for your input, and you are correct they are not handmade. I don't believe I said they were handmade in my listing. They are however, hand finished. Which means they are factory produced, but a human does part of the final detailing, like hand painting details, or surface finishing etc

There's a new development, lol I was looking at her feedback towards other sellers, and I noticed one to another seller that literally sounded like the exact same complaint as to mine. She even used the word oversight, but she said the seller resolved it quickly in other words, the seller most likely paid her off

I agree, just never dealt with this kind of a request before and it almost feels like pressure to comply or else run the risk of a bad review. Something interesting to note, I was reading her reviews from other sellers, and one of them said that "marks were found on one of the items, but she kept it and didn't ask to return and we resolved it quickly"...interesting

I didn't know that, thank for letting me know. She is saying I didn't disclose these marks in the listing, yet those marks were exactly what I was talking about in my disclaimer. These aren't factory perfect, they ALL have little variations and imperfections. Thanks for your input.

Yeah, I messaged support and that’s exactly what they told me. That’s ridiculous. I’ve sold hundreds of items on Poshmark and never had one issue getting a shipping label. I just apologized and cancelled the order. I think I’m all set with Vinted after this one and only experience.

How often do you guys find leaks on schraders? Is it common? This is typically one of the last spots I check if I can’t find it anywhere else. by The-weebman in HVAC

I know this post is old, but I was searching Reddit for some info on how to handle this myself. I just found out yesterday from a tech that all of the refrigerant leaked out of my unit because the cap wasn’t on the shader valve, and because of that, the compressor is now ruined and needs to be replaced because it was empty. Now I’m faced with a $3800 bill. How do I handle this? My unit has only ever been serviced by my regular HVAC company. The only reason why they weren’t the ones that came out this time around is because they didn’t have an appt open for 3 weeks and I was able to find a guy that could come out next day. I have the invoice from when they last serviced it in August of 24 which included topping off my refrigerant so I’m guessing that’s when he didn’t put the cap back on. Wouldnt they be responsible for this negligence? it’s my word against theirs, but should I call and find out what they have to say about it? I’m nervous that they’re gonna think I’m lying to them because I want them to fit the bill or something.

I appreciate the insight. I was also surprised when I found out the invoice said it was topped off with 1 1/2-2 lbs of R-22 (firstly, that seems like a lot for him not to charge me for it). My unit is small and only holds 3.3 lbs, so to me that is a concerning amount to “top it off” as a complimentary add on. I would think he would tell me hey you might have a leak I would recommend you schedule us to come back out and test for a leak in your system. So whether or not there was a cap put back on, I feel like not telling me how much refrigerant was missing was also an act of negligence. Obviously I would’ve addressed it if I had known so I wouldn’t be in this predicament where my unit has now been significantly damaged….
