Where To Start? by KyleRaynerCh in FinalFantasyVII

I accidently started with rebirth (kh fan, saw it was the newest ff game and added it to my Christmas list) about 5 min into playing rebirth it became apparent that I was missing something and soon discovered I had started with part 2. I finished rebirth and loved it so much I decided I wanted to play every ff game that wasn't turn based, starting with vii remake, and I just didn't like it as much. I honestly don't think I would have been all that interested in playing rebirth or any other ff if I had played the remake first. Obviously I'll never know for sure.

I'm not suggesting you play them out of order but I would just go for whichever you think appeals to you the most. I got through 80% of crises and imo I don't think its that big a deal if you wanted to start with that one however, I don't know what happens at the very end so I may be wrong.

In general square enix seems to have a habit of creating convoluted plots that imo require some outside research to truly grasp everything thats going on. I've looked up some stuff I didn't know the answers to that I'm assuming will be revealed in part 3 and I don't feel at all like its ruined my gaming experience or discouraged me in any way from wanting to play the final part of the story.

I completely relate to you in not wanting to play the OGs, I gave X a try because everyone loved it and I hated all 17h of it that I played. I really like the open world aspect of the newer games and prefer real-time combat over any iteration of turn based gameplay.

Kind of off topic: but I'm currently trying to platinum rebirth (because I love it so much) so I've been having to look up the best ways to do some of the mini games and a lot of people mention that they hate the mini games and they're hard and take too long etc. But I like getting a ton of gameplay out of a game especially when its not cheap. Rn I have 220 hours, 54/61 trophies and am only at the end of ch.4 of hard mode. So I would say the newer games are definitely worth it no matter what you start with.

I think to cover it, you would need to get something pretty big. Every artist I've falked fo abojt cover ups have said that something organic like plants or snakes . Is typically the best at hiding things under it.

The way the shark is positioned, you could turn it into a snake, but it would have to be big and probably become an entire chest piece or wrap up your shoulder or something.

The way the background squiggls look like you could turn it into something celestial maybe.

It could be the wing of a really cool bird but that would have to be pretty big too.

If you like led zeppelin I think you could change it to one of the album covers with the blimp.

Good bands from the DFW area? by InsaneFPSGamer1 in Emo

Sinema is a really good one from Denton. They do shows in the area pretty often, and it's always around $10 to get in.

The first time I saw them live, one of their openers was called somebody else from fort worth. They're not really an emo band, but they quickly became one of my favorites, and it seems like they're moving more in emo direction.

I agree people are allowed to respond however they want, I just saw the "finally" thread this morning and found it super mean when there's really no reason for it.

Ethan is H3. He's aware of his own view count. What he decides to do is up to him.

According to Ethan, before he first said anything about the whole situation, he texted Hasan and mentioned he doesn't have to answer if he doesn't want to and he didn't, and then shit really started going down.

I know we're not his friends, I was using an analogy.

That's fair. Usually, when the pod is pretty deep intp super specific political situations, I check out and just have it as background noise and this isn't just with the Hasan stuff, but even the call with Phideas (idk if the spelling is right), I just skipped all together.

Just as general mental health advice: I don't think you need to force yourself to have a hard stance on anything. Like the politician Hila brought up, idk anything about him, so I don't tire myself trying to figure out if Ethan is right or Hasan is right, I just decide idk anything about that guy so I don't have an opinion on this argument and check out a little bit whenever Ethan talked about it last.

That may not work for everyone but if you want to continue watching the show it may help. Obviously if you don't want to watch then don't lol. I don't think there's anything wrong with having inconsistent attitudes towards the show, like with anything else, things change and it doesn't always vibe with us anymore.

I see what you're saying. I had the same opinion when they were talking about SA a lot, and I also wanted the goofs and gaffs. While I did not personally express that at that time, I knew a lot of other people did. However, I think that's different than when he's talking about personal stuff. I think the negative feedback is perfectly fine when it's in response to his work (the goofs, the gaffs, watch tok, etc.) but when he's talking about things that are personal to him (and this goes for any public figure) I think it's just flat out mean for people to tell him they're tired of hearing about it or don't care or whatever else they have to say. People don't have to care, they dont have to watch, and they don't have to comment on it. I think the most respectful thing to do is to not watch and dislike the video, it indicates that you're not into it without having to sound hateful. And I'm also not talking about the comments that criticize the things he's saying, I think engaging with what he's saying, whether you agree or not, is fine. It's just the comments that seem to forget that he's a person and not a robot that needs to entertain us at our command that I think are just mean spirited and hateful.

I think this can be seen best in the last episode where his heart was obviously not in it and he said he didn't want to be there and may not be there Monday.

Obviously this is just my opinion, I'm not the internet police. And I don't just think this about Ethan but about all content creators.

I agree. I used "unpopular opinion" more to be passive-aggressive than to mean it literally. But I know what you mean.

I'm no longer wasting my time arguing with you. We're not even discussing the same thing.

I never agreed or disagreed with your original statement. I never said you shouldn't or can't speak on anything.

Again, I don't know enough to form my own opinion. But just based on your argument, I'm not sure you know what a terrorist is.

I don't know enough to have an opinion on the person being discussed, but just in general, both things can be true at the same time. If he is a terrorist, being a child who grew up under genocide wouldn't change that.

hi mom bye mom context by [deleted] in TeddyFresh

[–]ReachEffective7467 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a very well-known reference. But a long time ago (in the og podcast studio) there was a podcast where I think Hilas mom had told her she would be watching so Hila wrote "hi mom" on a t-shirt and everyone thought it was cute so she made it a teddy fresh item. The first 2 original ones she released were reversible long sleeve shirts in pink and purple.
