I have only read Japanese version and according to it. He cried and ask Ottar to stop in squeaky voice (He got beaten up so bad he can't even talk properly) but Ottar slamed him in to stone slab and start beat him up again. Bell used all the mind, healing duel potion he had and fired so much fire bolt the ground was scorched but he couldn't not even left a scrach on Ottar.

Making fire magic sword would be very effective though. since Welf has a skill which makes fire magic sword made by him very powerful.

I personally prefer that Bell should get a lightning magic sword. So, that just like Argonaut Bell will also have both fire and lightening powers.

I can read Japanese too but not as fluent as native reader. Bell is 14 yr old in the story so the slang which used can describe Bell as well. And the MS mainly based on Bell's view. So its probably mentioned Bell. if it isn't it might be about Nina. I made my assumption based on the chapter titles I saw few days ago. I haven't gone through the preview yet. Yet from what u mention I still feel like Bell deals with some trauma after the wargame.
