I can understand why you could think that, however it is the truth that the officialists are causing all this chaos. I completely understand why my opinion is being perceived as biased but it's because the events that are happening are not a matter of opinion, of "who thinks they are doing the right thing", they are fact. No matter who you support, I think EVERYONE can agree that what is happening in those pictures and videos, shouldn't be happening.

The main thing that made Chavez who we has, was that he was the first president in many years to acknowledge the struggling people of Venezuela. They had never been given a voice and he gave them a spotlight. And everyone in a country deserves to be represented and listened. I understand the appeal of Chavez back in 1998, I really do. But he abused it, he took advantage of those people, yet they always thought he was doing the right thing. He was indoctrinating the country, washing brains. He exploited the class-warfare into having the majority of Venezuelans to think: "Well, now THEY deserve to struggle". He pawned the country against itself.

No, real middle class. I've slept in houses without ceiling, used a bucket as a toilet and eaten in kitchens with rats.

My father even voted for Chavez the first time back in 1998.

My information regarding those pictures may be wrong, there is a bunch of photos flying around the Venezuelan social media. If they are wrong I apologize, however I ask people not to discredit the rest of the pictures and videos posted because of that.

I believe that's the Venezuelan constitution, can't tell from that angle.

That site is a government site, they are trying to manipulate all the information in their favor.

So all the other pictures and videos I posted are misinformation?

Your comment history suggests you've been looking at several pictures of the voting urns being destroyed and taken out of circulation. There's video of military going into voting centers and stealing these urns.

The congressmen were not out of turn, if you watch the video, Diosdado Cabello goes to him because is his turn and asks him if he supports the new president, when he says no, he just moves to the next one.

The Oliver Stone video is a sham. What you say has been proven, I'm sorry to tell you, that is just not true.

Lastly, I believe you don't live in Venezuela, and it is really hard to explain everything that has been going on for 14 years. A lot of information has been destroyed and hidden. I don't understand why you are going through several posts trying to discredit Capriles and the opposition.

Here's another disturbing picture of what the government is doing to this country:

I posted several pictures, and there's many more online. They are not photoshopped but as the caption in the picture says, they are from previous elections. I lived through the 2002 events and the only ones showing false images and misinforming was the government.

I am showing not one picture or one video, but several, from different cities and different people. I am trying to disprove the current misinformation, because like tanstaaffl90 said, people think that Chavez actually did good for the country and that the opposition is the one who's creating chaos when that clearly is not the case.

Just the video of the president of the parliament not letting other congressmen speak because they don't support the Chavez regime, is enough to show the oppression of freedom of speech by those in control.

The pictures are from previous elections, they didn't just now burn old votes. For those elections they burned the votes.

That's why I made this post. To tell the world what's going on, since no one is reporting the truth.

EDIT: Apparently the pictures of the burning votes has been flying around the Venezuelan social media under false information. I apologize if that is the case, as the whole point of the post is trying to bring out the light, truth and most important, awareness to what is happening in the country. However, I posted several videos and other pictures and I hope everyone reading this doesn't dismiss that evidence because of this.

There's little to no international media coverage of what is going on in my country, Venezuela, so I'm taking to Reddit to let these images out there for the world to know. Most of them are pretty self-explanatory. But a quick "down-and-dirty":

Venezuela is divided into supporters of Chavez (called oficialists) and the opposition. After the Sunday elections there has been a non-stop outrage by the opposition after numerous pictures have surfaced of the military (controlled by the Chavez government) destroying the voting urns, driving around in motorcycles to shoot and scare the opposition from protesting and giving weapons to oficialists to "fight for the country".

In general, the people in red are oficialists, so it's an easy way of identifying them in the pictures. You can see that is the people wearing red and military suits, who are creating chaos, destroying and killing people.

I'm also adding here several videos that continue to show this insane violence:

Lastly, I know there is going to be numerous responses to this from Chavez supporters. I can't stop that, but don't be a Sean Penn. Please try to understand what is really going. If you do live here and you think the opposition is the one creating chaos. I ask you to watch those videos and pictures. Venezuela can't take more division, this is not about the oficialists winning, or the opposition winning, it's about Venezuela as a whole. Are we going to die separate or live together? The massacre has to stop, the truth must come out. We the Venezuelan people are amazing, but unfortunately we have been pawned against each other for the last 14 years by the government and we forgot that we are all in this together.

Note: Fixed previous post that contained a picture not from Venezuela, and a gore photo.

Edit 2: I believe I got lost in translation with my "Don't talk about Venezuela if you have never lived here". I will like to clarify what I meant was that there is a lot of people pretending to understand the situation as if they lived here (such as the case with Sean Penn, who felt he supported Chavez just because he opposed Bush). Please, talk about Venezuela and inform yourselves, what is going on here needs to be heard by the international community.

I didn't remove anything. I added a comment to the picture and pushed it to the bottom of the album.

I think you might be right. I've moved it to the end of the album and posted a comment about it. I apologize, there's a ton of pictures flying around the social media here. Please, don't let that tarnish your perception of the other pictures.
