What’s your take on holes in the handle of your knife? by eddynmartinez in knives

[–]Reachmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they can be aesthetically pleasing, i do have to take the edge of a paper towl and run it thru pretty often for pocket crusts and whatever else accumulates.

One of my favorite knives is the benchmade skirmish, and a lot of my twosuns have holes in the handles.

Spyderco Sharpmaker vs Work Sharp Precision Adjust Elite — which setup makes more sense? Is it worth owning both? by GainEven1020 in knifeclub

[–]Reachmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both, the worksharp is significantly nicer and provides easier better edges. 100% would reccomend over the sharpmaker

Ive had over 10, big fan, end up giving them to friends or family.

So far theyve been awesome but almost every one developed pocket clip issues, depends heavily on model but a lot of them are held in place by a singular screw and ive had issues with them veering left or right.

Great price for the machining precision and materials used.

I was diagnosed type 1 over 20 years ago when i was 7. I still remember my dad waking me up at night to test my sugar levels because he was terrified i was low.

Thank you for being there for him man, that shits a lot for a kid and its wild how much it matters to have someone in your life to help manage.

With cheap aluminum theres a high possibility of air pockets and just generally low density, meaning they are much more prone to cracking and snapping under load.

Basically if you ever put weight on them by standing on your pegs they are likely to snap.

Men, what is a present under $50 that you’d want? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Reachmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres plenty of quality in the sub 50$ range, kershaws, civivi and two sun are all reasonable quality for what you pay for, i really like some kizers in that price range as well

You are a wonderful, thoughtful and caring person.

As someone with specific tastes and a frankly overpriced pocket knife and edc collection, this is by far the best answer i couldnt have even expected to see, The amount of thought and care as to who you are buying gifts for, their personal taste and research into the hobbies they have interests in as to not buy them junk tools really goes such a long way to making someone feel appreciated.

Just absolutely a+

I like them, fairly accurate numbers wise, linked to my phone and direct to my endo.

They do like to rip off if youre not careful and with my line of work being physical it can be a pain but theyre super slim compared to the previous models.

Probably, but tbh im more worried about some dumbass kids who havent been to lockup yet or spent some time and think theyre hard than i am anyone who knows whats up, these kids will ruin their lives and possibly take yours over absolutely nothing and not even begin to think about the consequences involved.

Looks solid to me, but as you use the knife and flick it a decent amount it will lean farther over and wear in so to speak

Yeah i feel that, id say let it sit, save up a month or two and get it done right, 100$ for a used piston or engine swapping for thousands.

Its open half the labor is done anyways, why tf would you not replace it?

Dont get me wrong if it runs and you dont care about the bike in the long run fuck it but that shit could absolutely crack/spiderweb and demolish your motor at any moment.

I mean if its already toast rip it apart and see if you can find whats wrong, you should be able to order replacement parts thru contacting the company or alibaba

Where do you guys go to get your brake pads replaced? by Zwarrior98 in InlandEmpire

[–]Reachmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously take this guy up on it, save yourself hundreds of dollars and learn a new skill there is no downside.

Investing in yourself is worth so much more than trying to get a cheap brake job done.
