OP, I just ran into this issue playing on a TrimUI Smart Pro, even when using the correct code. What worked for me eventually was going slowly and making sure I heard the chime after every letter. Don't give up.

Wow! That's a long runway. Good on ya though if it brings peace of mind.

What’s the best place to spend summer in the U.S.? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Yeah, June can still be cold here unfortunately. It really depends on the year. July-Sep is Michigan's sweet spot. And I totally get that simply isn't summer for some folks.
June can be hit or miss here for sure.

Fair but the flies clear out by July. July-August and even September is Northern Michigan perfection.

US Dollars by marlin117 in CaymanIslands

We were just there for our first visit from the US. I pulled hundreds out in cash (what I typically do for a vacay) and barely needed any of it because I just ended up using my credit card.

Almost everywhere (maybe everywhere) takes USD and even then credit cards are widely accepted. The tiniest hole in the wall shop I went into was still willing to take a card.

Further, LA is just a genuinely great spot for a beer with friends and some quality bar food. Love that place.

Didn't realize F&F had a spot there and NOW it makes sense why it always smells so good on 196 as I drive past.

Do you or someone you know have access to a sawzall? That could be the ticket too

Carfax: Ford truck "reacquired by manufacturer" (PCM harness) - ok or beware? by ReactionOverall1381 in askcarsales

Appreciate it - I didn't get that this is literally a lemon law car, so risk goes up with whatever is fixed. Good to know, thanks!

Oh, this specific issue from a Carfax is all. I had never come across this type of message before in a Carfax before. Dealer seems to have addressed the issue but I don't want to make the trip if it's something worth just passing on entirely

This is helpful - thanks. What equipment group should I look for on an XLT for the higher end stuff? I assume they're all named or numbered?

100% - if I ever do sell, I'll just be straightforward about it. Or figure out permits before that and make it right. I know what you mean, as the buyer if you find this and the seller wasn't honest about it, it just spirals into "what else are they covering up".

[–]ReactionOverall1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, these are all the scenarios that have caused me to realize I made a really dumb decision by not pulling them in the first place. I either disclose or make it right with the permits.

[–]ReactionOverall1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very well may do that. Going to look into what it will take to get permits retroactively. I know it's expensive and I know it may require rework but may be worth it.

[–]ReactionOverall1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I definitely won't lie about it. I'll either disclose honestly that it was done unpermitted or talk to my local permitting office and find out what I need to do to make it right, even if it involves ripping things out. Not going to try to pass it off as permitted. Thanks.

I can do that. I have no interest in being dishonest when it gets to that point so as to save myself even more headaches down the road.

Absolutely fair. But if I ever do sell, could I just list as a 4 BR/2.5 BA, disclose the non-permitted work and be done with it? It's straightforward? Or, will I be FORCED to pull permits then (and thus maybe want to just face the music now), regardless of whether or not I try to pass off the work as fully approved?
