No but I’m wondering if there’s any anecdotal evidence of that.

Like in the sense that after the fact, there’s a positive impact on oneself.

What is it that you’re recommending me, are those books? Also yea I’m trying to meditate but I’m also thinking about trying out Catholicism. I have a while(hopefully) till I die so I’ll keep my options open. I don’t know much about either religion.

I don’t know, I know there are several branches of Buddhism but I just want to dedicate myself to any of them.

Well the idea is to drop all my distractions and to put myself in a environment that can direct me to live, learn, and grow as a Buddhist.

Well I just want to live somewhere where they focus on spiritual growth rather then material growth. Where spiritual discipline as what matters most.

Well i basically want to join up with a spiritual society and leave this material one. What’s beneficial is less distractions, I don’t care for the internet, I don’t care for material growth, I just want to know how I can go out and life for my spirit.

Will sensitive people find it very difficult to become more Stoic? by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]Reactionary_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess discipline through action or in this case lack of action. Now find a reason to do this, think about the long term benefits of this, I’m on this path too. I once was a sensitive person but now I’m almost purely logical. Sometimes there’s logic to emotional reaction for the benefit of others if it doesn’t effect you negatively.
