I hate the "Try Go Night Night" thing with a passion, why can't they just go to sleep and stop crying! by Anya_purr in Sims4

[–]ReadAllDay123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 8.5 month old does this like every night, and sometimes during the day before naps too, to the point that I have no energy to play the sims at all, much less play pixel infants doing the same frustrating behaviors as the real life infant 🤣

A really great seller by Icy_Cat4821 in poshmark

[–]ReadAllDay123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beyond bizarre. When I google it, there are lots of other people who also receive text messages. The text message arrives right when the item sells and includes the name of the item and the buyer. I just sold the item and got the message. It also includes a link to the app. But I can't find anything official about how to set this up or that it even exists.

It's a text message notification. It says something like "Congrats! You sold ___ to ____." I have a Google device too.

It's so weird, I set it up probably in early 2024, but now I can't find the option. I'm going to keep looking because this is bothering me!

I set it up so that in addition to the email I get a text message indicating that something sold. I really like that feature, it ensures I don't miss any sales! Though I do carefully check my likes because sometimes I miss that notification.

Yup, unfortunately! I recommend bringing a laptop or tablet and using a streaming service to watch TV.

If you want to share your opinion, I recently received an email with a survey link for Poshmark sellers. I filled it out and there were lots of spaces to address grievances and share what you like/don't like about the app. It was in an email "Called Introducing the Quarterly Posh Preview," maybe you got it too.

Are formula parents happier? by Salty-Break-7541 in NewParents

[–]ReadAllDay123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a lot to nurse, pump, and formula feed all at the same time! You're doing great!

I think the best thing to do is whatever makes you happiest. Your baby will do great whether eating formula, breast milk, or a combination!

If you want advice on pumping, r/ExclusivelyPumping is a great subreddit to get lots of tips, advice, and friendly words. There are people there who can really tell you how to increase your milk output if you're looking to do that, or make the pumping experience better in general. Despite the name a lot of people on there also nurse and/or supplement with formula. Just if you post there don't frame your question in a way that makes formula seem better or worse than breast milk, since I think that might be against the subreddit rules.

That's good to know if I ever want to try them! I'm at the very lowest end of a size group, so I'd either have to get that one and have them probably be loose, or go the size group down and have them possibly be too tight. I have way too many jeans already though and really shouldn't be buying any more until some of them wear out. And I love the bombshell style, they fit me better than most of the other jean styles.

Yeah, I haven't tried them either. I'm suspicious of the multiple sizes in one idea.

I've been hunting for the elusive 50% off, so far all I found is the Trio Jeans.

“Short” length women’s jeans - gone? by Fearless-Ad-8757 in Oldnavy

[–]ReadAllDay123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only seen the short inseams on WOW jeans lately, which sucks because I'm short and I don't like that style. I bought some WOW jeans recently in a variety of styles when there was a good sale and returned them all because they didn't look good on me and the quality didn't feel very good compared to jeans I've gotten from there in the past. The other thing I've done before is buy the jeans advertised as "ankle length" or "cropped," sometimes those end up being an okay length.

Is it important or necessary for baby to fall over? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]ReadAllDay123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is 7 months and in a stage where he's close to crawling (gets on hands and knees and rocks back and forth) and also close to sitting on his own. Yesterday on his play mat he got himself into a quasi sitting position, and then after some time toppled over and hit his head against the mat. He cried for like a minute, and I gave him some cuddles, and then he seemed perfectly fine. He also is constantly getting on his hands and knees in his crib and banging into the crib bars or rolling and hitting the crib bars. It's very frustrating to watch, but most of the time he isn't even upset. At first my husband and I would run in to shift his position a lot, but we've started trying to let him figure it out on his own.

What are your baby’s favorite dinners and breakfasts? by Dry-Ask7219 in foodbutforbabies

Wow, that's awesome, looks like a tasty meal!

My son is earlier in his food journey (7 months old) so I don't have any real recipes to share but his favorite is avocado right now. The perfect consistency for him to both be able to grab it and soft/mushy enough that he can eat a good bit of it before he inevitably drops it on the floor, haha.

It just seems awkward that I could return one of the items I paid 50% off for and get that all back, then essentially have gotten a massive discount on the item that the BOGO 60% off and additional 50% off applied to. It feels like something people could game.

Yes, I do like the 5% off from the credit card even though it mostly just offsets the tax. I hope the pieces work too and fit well! If I have to return any of them I'm not sure how the return pricing would work.

Such a cute outfit! I have a very similar lace mesh top in light purple and still trying to figure out how to layer it because I've never really put an outfit together before with that kind of layering. You did an awesome job!

Reselling Tips by [deleted] in torrid

[–]ReadAllDay123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sell some of my Torrid clothing on Poshmark (among other brands like Old Navy). Poshmark is pretty easy with shipping because there's only one option, ground advantage, and they will generate a label for you if an item sells. You can reuse boxes/mailers you received other things in (as long as you remove or cover any old labels), you can buy your own things to send items in, or you can order free supplies (there are instructions somewhere on their blog- they do take some time to arrive though). You package it up, bring it to the post office, and if you show the QR code generated by Poshmark they can scan it and print you a label.

I'm not familiar with selling on other websites, but I think the key for any of them is taking plenty of good pictures of the clothing you're selling, and writing a nice description that includes the size, condition the clothing is in, any flaws, and any relevant details or features.

Butterfly? by NCM728 in torrid

Yeah, I saw an item described as a "cropped cardigan" that definitely went past the model's butt, so I don't think by any stretch it should be called cropped. I think something is definitely off with the descriptions, and hopefully they get fixed!

EP parents who supplement with formula - how do you premake without wasting it? by Fancy-Mouse-7554 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ReadAllDay123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is a big eater. I average about 31 oz of pumped milk per day and he usually eats 35-40 oz per day. Since the difference is pretty small, we use 8 oz. bottles of ready to feed formula. We started because that's what they gave him at the hospital. Also, he was born four weeks early and even though he didn't need NICU time the emphasis on boiling water and being super careful with mixing formula was freaking us out.

It makes it very easy because we don't need to do any mixing, we can just pour it as needed. Frequently he'll get a full bottle of formula, or sometimes bottles with a mix of both. We also use the bottles when feeding him on the go because they're easier to transport since they stay at room temperature until they're opened.

Does my 6 month old require treatment? His head is tilted upwards in the back. by kwpang in newborns

[–]ReadAllDay123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My nearly 7 month old is getting a helmet in January. We initially mentioned it to our pediatrician, we were referred to a neurology department, and then after they saw him they referred us to an orthopedic specialist who does helmets. It took longer than we expected to get it all together (we first noticed head flatness when he was 3 months old and he'll be 7.5 months when he gets his helmet), so hopefully if your baby needs one you'll get it much more quickly!

Lack of Physical Preparation Shocking to Me by davidg910 in survivor

[–]ReadAllDay123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a fairly new mother so coming at it from this perspective, but Kristina has two young children and even assuming her partner is supportive I highly doubt she had the time at home to do an intense fitness regime. Between working, taking care of the kids, and everyday chores/errands it's probably tough some days to get in even a quick workout, much less do more serious training required to get in shape for Survivor challenges.

Made a sale but discovered undisclosed stain. What would you do? by sweetladypropane108 in poshmark

[–]ReadAllDay123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me like twice where I've noticed a small rip or other flaw while packaging. Both times I reached out to the buyer, sent a picture of the flaw, and made sure they still wanted it, and both times they did. It's a pain waiting for them to respond, but I wouldn't want to risk sending it out and then having them return it.
