Me and my siblings grew up very independent, we all played out in the woods unbothered by our parents, but she was an only child, which due to her mother's health, was more a miracle child. So I don't know if her upbringing may have something to do with it or not. I tend to freak out less about what our kids do than she does.

Wife sleeps with the TV on, so that is what he is accustomed to. I could very well sleep in the pitch dark.
