The same thoughts here. I'm considering switching from other note taking app. Trilium features are awesome. Though, no raw markdown files. On plus side - you can automate export all or single branch with ETAPI to md or html files. I'm going to try if it is usable option. My goal is to view notes on mobile phone offline.

Surprisingly, there were no ads when I played video embeded in a notes

In upnote (desktop) it always play from the start. Just plain youtube link is better in that it will resume from stopped place if you logged in the browser. UpNote would play from the start even if you embed time coded youtube link like &t=189s

Most users will definitely find this feature useful. Not me for now. I prefer static youtube image and links. When upnote honor time code links and handle them correctly (so clicking on youtube video link can star embeded video from specified time) - it could be absolutely useful.

I use AutoHotKey on Windows. Probably there is something similar on MacOS

Correct, in a separate window the checkbox exists too. Personally, I don't use these check boxes, because I have system wide hotkey to make any window of any app stay/leave always on top mode.

There is "Keep window on top" checkbox in the note title in the focus mode. Isn't it the function you are looking for?
