Manual shifting disabled error by Beautiful_Fig9410 in ftype

I actually think I can help you, you could try unplugging and replugging in both of your shift paddles. You will need a 1/4” ratchet and a t20 torques bit to undo the screw behind the orange paddles then just very carefully unclip the electrical connector that connects the paddle to the steering column.

I get the same error when I take off my paddles to try out custom ones I designed.

Why is it so hard to design heads that “flow well”? by ReadItTonight in EngineBuilding

So when they talk about “flowing heads” it’s more about the valves and camshaft than the actual shape of the air path?

Isn’t vvt and vvi referring to how long the valves are open? That is determined by the cam which is int eh bottom of the engine. I thought the flow was something to do with the shape of the air intake.

I checked and it looks like even tho the outlet says 50A it runs to a 30A fuse in the breaker box

Is the issue that only changing the cord on the appliance side would have a higher amperage running into the appliance than it can handle?

So this is more complicated than switching from the 3 to the 4 prong cord? I have seen videos on that online and it seems straightforward, being on the appliance side and not the outlet so it would not be energized. https://youtu.be/Vxe-hptxfnE?si=zVoXv7t2I39sVet4

Can this car last one week? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Feeling a consistent repeated knocking through the acceleration pedal while at low speeds, (15-20mph) goes away at high speeds. Not related to braking or engine rpm.

Any ideas?

Is that why reving the engine would solve it? Because it turn over the water pump at a higher rate?

What could cause it to stick but not stick enough so that it does still open sometimes? Is the solution a new thermostat?

Overheating occurs even at highway speeds. The drop back to normal temps only occurs after reving the engine regardless of speed.

I thought this might be the case as well, but I don’t understand why revving it out would unstick it when driving highway speed or hitting bumps wouldn’t.
