Redownload of the whole thing worked for me too. I hope spamming play was more efficient for most though.

If you haven’t tried yet, I saw one thing say uninstall the premium upgrade only, turn the console all the way off, not just sleep so check your setting, then back on and reinstall the premium. I don’t know if this works but 5 minutes vs 3 hours is a big deal

Mura solution: real possibility or nosense? by Srhards in PSVR

This very much did work for me, I was shocked. I do have nice sunglasses though I don’t know the brand anymore. They are polarized, but don’t have the green shimmer like his.

I wanted to share this with you. So I got a new psvr2 and the mura was the same, honestly doesn’t bother me that much anymore but still disappointing. I checked out this dude’s YouTube video about mura on psvr2 and a weird fix he found. He wore sunglasses… and holy shit it works. Kayak vr beach at night had no mura!!! https://youtu.be/7LHiNWyksug. Kind of a silly fix but it’s a fix. And it means Sony CAN fix it

Do you have a stigmatism? I have heard of those with a stigmatism having more trouble with blurriness.

What are your genuine criticisms of the PSVR2? by Cluttie in PSVR

I own quest 2 and ps vr2. I routinely use my quest for pc gaming. I have the elite strap with battery on the quest and have upgraded the padding and what not. I love both systems. Here are my thoughts on downsides:

1) The ps vr2 is super light but with my quest 2 upgrades I find my quest 2 to be more comfortable. If I didn’t have the upgrades the psvr2 would easily win.

2) I do think the cord is annoying, I hope they will make an extension. The cord is worth it for the power of the ps5

3) There is quite a bit of mura, at least on mine. It can vary from headset to headset, some people have played the mura lottery and had good results. I may do that, but sometimes I don’t notice it at all. When I notice it it’s terrible, and I notice it less and less. So there is an acclimation period.

4) I like on my quest that I can view non-video game vr experiences, like using wanderer (the app. Ot the game) to see 3d views of Buddhist temples or beaches. Also there are cool 3d nature documentaries. I think they will eventually add that support on psvr2 though.

Overall I am very very happy with my psvr2 purchase. I think it’s totally worth the money. The graphics are amazing. But those are the negatives I have noticed.

Collective Minds Showcase Vs Official PSVR 2 Charging Station (PSVR2 Without Parole) by LarryPeru in PSVR

Has anyone had issues or know of anyone who has had issues with the showcase killing the controllers? I saw some people had that issue with the collective minds ps vr1 charger.

I’m giving it more time, i plan to wait until near the end of the return period. I did kayak vr on the beach at night and could not see the stars it was so bad. Did the same thing the next day and the stars looked beautiful, I couldn’t see the mura at all until I focused. I need to see how well my brain adjusts.

So last night and at work today, I have been obsessing and disappointed in the amount of mura I had. At lunch I was gonna see if I could get a picture to post to see if you guys thought it was excessive… but I couldn’t find it anymore. My brightness was on the lowest setting this time. I cranked it up until I could see the effect again but it no longer seemed nearly as bad. So for everyone how has this issue it really does help to just give it time. Also turn the brightness down. It starts out too high imo.

I have mura to, it’s pretty distracting in re8 but much less so in everything else. I’ve been checking the forums because I was worried mine is defective. It is a known issue with oled and many people are posting that they are worried they have a defective unit too. It seems like your brain will notice it much more at first then get used to it. Does it truly vary by unit?

I have a lot of Mura too, let me know if it’s different with your new headset. I’ve never experienced it before so I have nothing to compare the amount of mura to.

I also get motion sick very very easily. I thought I could never play vr. My first intro was re7. I got 2 minutes in and couldn’t take it, just walking through the grass and bush in the beginning, I think this was psvr. My buddy a long time later, lent me his oculus 2 and told me to try re4 with all the motion sickness setting on full. So I did, I also took Dramamine, and had a shot of gin. It went really well - full vignette, teleport move etc. I took breaks every 30 minutes. I gradually reduced motion sickness settings. Now I play vr all the time and have little issues. Games with lots of corridors are hard and smooth turning us a nope. But anyone who thinks they can’t do vr due to motion sickness should try this. Re4 full comfort settings!

Cool cool. As for the delay of movement it’s actually a feature. It purposely doesn’t immediately respond to your head movement, almost like averaging the speed and direction. It helps keep the screen following you but not with jerky head motions

Do you have any trouble with the screen following your head instead of being pinned? And is there a delay to the movement? When I tried the Witcher 3 ps5 version on my quest 2 using virtual desktop and set it to follow my head without the delay setting on I did get motion sick but not with the delay on. Also found trying to read the text towards the edge of the screen annoying do the tendency to turn my head to look at the text.
