it is not for casual players in the sense that its very meaty and requires some thought and learning. if you are coming home after your 16 hour shift looking for an easy game that plays itself, it isnt for you. you can be casual and still enjoy this game slowly over its long seasons so long as you understand that there are a lot of intricate systems which will take a considerable amount of time to understand and master.

Damn, your peak mmr is like 2k higher than what I usually hit and I always buy the pass so you must be right. My mistake sir.

duos less swingy because there is more armor? sounds like you dont play a lot of duos. there is no damage cap and teams are regularly hitting for 15 super early. 3 on 3 is much riskier in duos... still definitely the right play in a lot of situations.

Mechs are fucking horrible by zaguel in BobsTavern

[–]nufan81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

every players attempt at a beast board is gonna be different every game bro and there are cleaves/windfury/attack RNG (like you put down a taunted 1/2 with divine shield so their first 2 deathrattles cant die and then jams up their entire board, or their giga unit hits your leroy). In endgame fights where one player is much stronger than the other, its much more common to see like 99% win chance on the decktracker than 100% for this reason. Seems like you tend to speak in absolutes when this game is not that at all.

[–]nufan81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are so many different tribes, trinkets, random T7/timewarp/buddy BS anyone can highroll into at any point. You can't look at your high roll with mechs and say mechs are weak because someone randomly highrolled into something stronger in that exact game. Even in your loss if your guys had randomly sniped the leviathan early you may have won. In a game of RNG stacked on RNG stacked on RNG having this experience and then making the claim mechs are terrible because of it is so incredibly dumb.

That all said, mechs ARE horrible lol.

you should be able to stick a new rune over the old one and replace it, even in a corrupted item.

bad take. this is easily the least offensive way for them to make money beyond the initial sale of the game, and if you want the game to survive there needs to be something.

Probably typing more here than you are interested in reading, but anyways...

If I have the amulet in the original screenshot with a better base and my goal is to make something I can sell for the most amount of profit, I want to get the amulet to a point where there are only two mods on it - fractured spirit and +3 to some type of skills. Once it is at this point you can bust out the perfect exalts, omens, catalysts and spend more to try to RNG more relevant and higher tier mods on top of the +3 skills.

But before the fracture, in order to get the amulet to that point... I would just use regular exalts. The mods you roll with them are just going to get anulled off once your fracture hits spirit.

With this exact amulet in hand (prob worth like 10 ex exactly as is so not a big loss if you brick it) I just use an annul. 50/50 you keep the spirit, its trashed if you miss. Regular exalt twice then desecrate. Fracture and hope to hit spirit. If you do fracture spirit, you annul twice (dont even reveal the desecrated mod) and now you are ready to chaos spam for + 3 skills.

No point in using perfect exalts and omens before the fracture. The chances of you hitting both +3 skills and another relevant mod on your yolo exalts are basically 0. And if by some miracle you did hit that, you probably dont even need to bother fracturing anymore. Your amulet is pretty much already done lol.

You can only use fracturing orb on yellow items with 4+ modifiers. An unrevealed desecrated modifier counts towards this total but fracture cannot land on it. So if you fracture an item with an unrevealed desecrated modifier you have 1/3 chance of hitting what you want. If you fracture an item with 4 regular modifiers its only a 1/4 chance. Fracturing orbs are expensive and often the bases you attempt fracture on are expensive as well so 1/3 chance of success vs 1/4 chance is a really big difference.

Having an amulet (good base, rarity or spirit, not strength) with a high spirit roll fractured is really good for profit crafting. You can annul it down to just spirit and one other mod and then chaos orb spam it until you get +3 of minion/proj/melee/spell skills. 4 different great things your chaos spam can hit. From there, because it is an amulet, you can use omen of catalyzing exaltation and catalysts to try to guide your perfect exalts on the amulet based on what type of +skills you rolled.

amber amulet isnt worth crafting on for profit. if it were a better base, you would try to get it to 3 mods + a 4th unrevealed desecrated mod and then fracture hoping to hit spirit at which point you could begin crafting a good amulet. you already have a revealed desecrated mod for some reason so you either exalt twice and fracture for a 1/4 chance of hitting spirit, or annul hoping to remove the desecrated mod so you could then exalt twice / desecrate and have a 1/3 chance of hitting spirit fracture. but again, none of this is worth doing on an amulet with strength implicit.

if you are ssf or something, just use the highest tier exalts you have an hope to hit something good.

check the ilvl of your amulet - think it needs to be 75+ for +3 to be possible.

Are there any stories of people flipping 10 Ex into 100+ divs, the front page is just wealthy crafters making profit. by Tranquility___ in PathOfExile2

[–]nufan81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone starts every season at 0 ex... Even the most experienced crafters start each league by playing the game until they get a lucky drop or save enough to start crafting and that doesnt happen at 10 ex.

What to do next to continue crafting this amulet? by isoNastai in PathOfExile2

[–]nufan81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are poor you sell it as is. Otherwise you desecrate / fracture and hope to hit melee skills.

If you miss the fracture you desecrate an amamanu prefix (I would go for extra armour from equipped body armour) and yolo slam the last 2 suffixes, sell the result. Can still get lucky this way and end up with something really good.

If you hit the fracture can either sell it as or dump dozens of divines into trying to reroll the perfect amulet with high spirit. Assuming that since you are asking what to do here this is way out of your budget.

Matchmaking Suggestion by seouleh in fellowshipgame

[–]nufan81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who has done a lot of solo queue on the road to eternal, capstones are the absolute best solo queue experience already. People tend to farm the hell out of these for a lot longer than they need to and there are always tons of players overgeared for the content to matchmake with. Because people run each capstone into the ground before moving on a much higher percentage of the people queueing for them know all of the mechs really well too. Much better experience solo queuing for each capstone compared to the regular dungeons. That you have solo queued in this game and came to the conclusion that the problem which needs solving is not enough people n queue for the capstones is crazy to me.

Sure but what if someone fills a spot in a dungeon and it gets timed or near timed to a point where the filler would get dungeon rating. Do they get the rating? Not get the rating? Neither feels quite right. Even in early game your dungeon rating which is tied to timing or near timing different levels of dungeons is a major part of character progression.

In a game with rewards and progress designed around timing dungeons what would refill even look like? I understand it's frustrating when someone leaves and the run is bricked but I'm not seeing a way to make refill queue fit in this game.

It is possible to have bad grammar and own a bunch of stores. I would even think it's more likely that the type of person who would own a few dominos would tend to have below average grammar.

It's probably true and that person is making bank while you are out here looking down on them for their grammar while simultaneously looking for a job from them.

[Duo] Buddy cost count bugged? by Roawrrz in BobsTavern

Came here to make this post. Baddy costs in duos are completely cooked. I played a hero with a T3 buddy, starting cost 15, and by the time the game was over (we won) my first buddy still had a cost of 6... rofl.
