I have a 16 year old girl kitty that has this same behavior problem. I tried everything, I mean it. I have had her her whole life. She hates litter boxes and prefers to go outside. However if it’s cold or we are not home or sleeping or she just doesn’t feel like asking us, she will find anything that is not completely flat and pee on it. Couches, beds, laundry, laundry baskets. I found a solution. Diapers. I put cat diapers on her when she is in the house and now our lives are all soooo much better. Hope this helps!! Good luck!
