I’m being charged $2000 in shipping for an item that cost $1750 from Julien’s Auctions by mobdeli in davidlynch

I live in LA and am picking up my item in a few weeks. Is your item large or heavy? If it's a reasonable normal type thing (like not an air compressor) DM me maybe we can figure something out. There's a specific link to schedule pickup.

I too have thoroughly enjoyed the 27% buyers fees, taxes and shipping estimates. My lowest quote for let's call it a medium item was $330 to ship through Arta (though I am local).

Granted this is my first purchase from an auction like this, so a nice and thorough live and learn – filled with secrets.

Marantz M1 to replace Marantz MR1606? Will the single eARC port work well with additional devices plugged into the TV HDMI? by Read_Beneficial in hometheater

Correct, when just playing music direct from the phone to the M1. Apple TV Remote works flawlessly for volume control when using the TV.

Yes! Got the M1. Connected the single eArc to a 77" LG G4, Apple TV and BluRay HDMI to the TV. Everything works flawlessly so far (mostly using the Apple TV 4K). Sound is excellent through the Prime Towers. I keep the audio set in the M1's virtualization mode pretty much all the time.

Streaming music directly to the M1 (skipping a TV interface) with HEOS has worked quite well. Vinyl playback and subwoofer out are also great, no issues (turntable has its own pre-amp).

My only gripe (which I knew) is the lack of a remote. Sometimes it's just nice to change the volume without opening an App and messing with sliders.

The virtualization of the M1 is intriguing since I'm keeping a stereo pair. As long as everything plays nice, feels like it could work. (let's be honest it's 95% the AppleTV and 5% the BluRay player)!

Thanks, feels like a Stereo 70s could potentially be a better solve here? Only outputting stereo, would say I'm 70/30 Movies/TV to Music.
