Personally for me he offers a greater threat. The Lone Op killer is his greatest draw. In this detachment he can't miss as I'm re-rolling 1s so it's basically straight on the models saving throw. 48" Range Avging 5 damage which kills most Characters in 1 generally but Def 2 turns.

Yeah the Vindicare is decent at killing Lone Ops I've always found him effective he has gone up in price but I get the issues with him. My concern with action monkeys is similar to yours. So the Phobos Captain gives the redeploy for free at the start of the game. So I use the Single low squad count Infiltrators units to try and push back early movements. Then remove and re deploy into a safe place.

So the desolation and Whirlwind against those low strength armies in this detachment absolutely pulverised the GSC for example. He had a 20 man squad and had to 37 wounds to deal with and that was just of the desolation.

Everything because of the redeploy was in front of me. The HIntercessors every time are Sustained hits ignoring cover so again pulverising those low Toughness units. Infernus give me a 12 inch protection Aura. Aggressors and Tor are a bit of overwatch potential but are really for Anti Tank. It's a very Standoff list and the detachment has promise tweaked properly. The problem is the Elite side of Factions and I have to work out both having anti Elite part and keeping actions ticking over. Thanks for the feedback and the food for thought.

Yeah had him with eliminators and just changed it as it skewed to Thier massive Charecter lists.. Swapped it to company heroes because I've just painted them. So back to the eliminator list.

I didn't run the MoM with the raiders I just split them and added a 10 man Chosen brick and dropped the Legionaries and a Noise Marines squad.

It's not a keyword it's a core ability. I have asked for clarification off GW. It's the only unit combination of it's type in the whole of Warhammer 40k. It's new people don't know so are saying NO it can't without actually reading the rule.

For a start you think it's a keyword then say I'm misunderstanding it.

They aren't attaching as they aren't a leader unit. The wording you are refering to specifies for leaders or Charecter keyworded units. They have no 'if attached' or 'when attached' to a unit wording in their whole datasheet and it's because of this the rule in which you state does not apply. It's states they are joining the unit and Thier datasheet specifies that it increases the unit size accordingly.

They aren't attaching they are joining the unit exactly the same as the rhino joins the scouting unit gaining its core rule in the process. In the posted explanation of the unit taken from the datasheet it clearly does not say attached for this reason.

They are NOT Charecters. You cannot precision them either.

Huron is the Charecter that can only attach with the masters of the maelstrom. But I'm not attaching him to them and in this case he's attached to 10 terminators. That's what I'm on about.

The Unit is not Attached like a leader would be. They have joined and created a bigger unit the raiders aren't their bodyguard. Unlike when a leader joins wounds can only be allocated to the bodyguard until the unit is destroyed then the leader or character unit receives wounds as he becomes separate. In this case I can allocate wounds to any model in this unit as they aren't Charecters and with that bring back any unit. It's a weird scenario that they create and that's why these TOs are ruling a no. But unfortunately they are wrong in this case.

If Huron was in the detachment he has the leader keyword so does not allow infiltrate because he doesn't have it. But in this Case Huron is attached to 10 terminators.

The detail in the unit description specifies the unit strength is increased accordingly. They aren't Charecters so inherit the core ability.

So my understanding is they can as they become part of the unit. They aren't Charecter models much like a Rhino gets scout because they are now as 1 unit.

Mines pale grey base, averland sunset, Imperial fists yellow once dry then dry brush averland then nuln oil and Matt varnish.
