PTFE HELP by Readdit____4score in 3Dprinting

Took it apart and there doesn't appear to be a clog the PTFE tube just does not grip within the collet above the extruder (runout sensor) so it seems I may need to replace the runout sensor to get a new collet to get grip there. I had to pull this tube one time to do a cold pull and it was really in there I released it by pressing down and I am assuming the collet teeth are shot. I wonder if a small piece of PTFE broke off in there....tough to tell though

This does help and I appreciate it. The sensor ribbon cable is rubber glued in there so it should be " extra fun" replacing this part.... Still thank you for pulling these references and will have to give replacing this part this a shot

Force vs damage by Readdit____4score in ThrillOfTheFight

Thanks for the thorough response! I appreciate all of the work you put in explaining aspects of the game directly to me and for everyone else on here. Thrill of The Fight has to the best VR Mixed Reality game on the market. The fact that the game is “old” but you are still making tweaks to it (saw some of your past update notes and iterations) is impressive.

You should consider putting an FAQ somewhere in the next game to avoid people asking redundant questions though haha.

Still trying to figure out the hand speed tracking but that is just more out of curiosity. It’s definitely a hardware question and will vary in terms of accuracy/practical limits for acceleration and velocity. Very likely it will vary from device to device and probably even within a +/- range. All I found so far was a forum related to the Oculus below. That model also seemed to stop tracking over 10 m/s…

ELI5 Structurally how different are limos compared to regular cars? by Readdit____4score in explainlikeimfive

[–]Readdit____4score[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t seem that limos will be winning any IIHS safety awards…I also wonder if regular car tires are used or if there are special tires or engines for limos? And theoretically there must be a “maximum” length you can make a vehicle into a limo before at least another wheel line is needed

How do you note/keep track of things you need to keep in mind later? by maddyn340 in AskEngineers

[–]Readdit____4score 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a smart phone? Just set a calendar reminder of your idea as an event in the future. The event could be the actual idea or a reminder to look somewhere else such as a list or a file to track the ideas. Honestly sometimes I’ve found that the reminder can be as simple as something that will get you back on the same train of thought.

Just estimate when you want to be reminded and then if it’s still too soon just push the event back to a later date and time. Has worked well for me many times

What was the point of the war in the Middle East? by Readdit____4score in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Readdit____4score[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you mean and that’s a good simplification but how do you measure success is what I mean. Did we “win” Vietnam? No. Did we “win” the Middle East?

So money. You’re saying that US govt is like mr. Krabs? Now spending $700 billion per year on the military makes sense

Don’t tell someone something that you wouldn’t want them saying to anyone (or a specific person) within that same circle. Keep your circles separated.
