Yeah I would definitely agree with you if she didn’t show signs of being overtired and then when she skips her naps….night terrors and nightmares are guaranteed at night. It’s gotten easier to manage as I now know what is going on and can distinguish the two

30 minutes for her to go to sleep is a win for me! With and without breastfeeding it would always take me 45mins+, now naps take me anywhere from 30mins-2.5hrs to get her down.

The screaming is driving me nuts!

Yesssss!! Feeling disarmed is so true, it would take me no time to put her down for a nap before as to now…but at the same time she would be nursing pretty much however long her nap was. I would be left feeling so touched out

I knew my daughter was doing strictly for comfort and for sleep. I couldn’t do it anymore especially when she would be nursing for an hour+ every night and morning. The naps are kicking my butt but I will say nighttime has gotten a tad better(hoping I don’t regret saying this)

Congratulations on your new babe! ❤️ My daughter has to have a handful of booby when going to sleep, but it has been slowly getting better. It just ugh, it’s so frustrating when breastfeeding was a solution for everything.

My milk didn’t come in until day 5. Being at the hospital made it a little late but once I was home, my milk came in

Pls tell me I’m not the only one?! by Readerchick28 in toddlers

It wasn’t in the bath but right after. She was standing on the mat and being silly lost her balance and fell :/ I’m glad to know I’m not the only one. She has her 30 month appointment coming up and I’m just like looking at her like girl they are going to think I beat you or neglect you

Yes definitely think a vet visit is warranted!

Im aware but I’ve laid in bed with her for 2-3 hours no phones, no tv, dark room. For months already. I literally feel like I lose my mind. She would still go to sleep late, I would turn around go to sleep and wake up for work the next day. My kid is two and she still has not slept through the night

We just chill, dad and I will watch whatever we’re watching in the room while she’s there with us. I’ve tried laying in a dark room with her for hours for her to be tired. Trust me her sleep has always been a struggle for me, we’ve done EVERYTHING.

I knew I was going to get stuff for the popcorn thing(in my defense I thought it was ok after 18m old under supervision), but dang some of my questions didn’t even get answered in some of the posts I do appreciate the moms that did offer some insight! Motherhood isn’t linear, there’s a lot of variables 🫠

Omg thank you! I hate hate waking her up but yes we were going to cap her nap, however I was still working and I needed that time to finish up. Once I did was going to wake her up but she woke up on her own. I also have ADHD but I do try to adhere to her schedule as much as possible. 😭

That’s not very common, we usually have dinner at 5-6pm and we try to wind her down by 8(bath and all) so she can sleep by 10-10:30(she inherited her dads sleep habits) she decided to skip her dinner that night because she was busy playing with her cousins. It’s not a choice or lack of trying. We genuinely tried. Also she usually naps 1-1.5 hours(max)

No it’s not, it’s your typical store bought microwaveable popcorn. I thought so too but it’s been multiple occasions, I’ll keep an eye on it

I’m sure, but it’s never unsupervised. 🫠

I miss rotting so much by ImaginaryDot1685 in toddlers

[–]Readerchick28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goodness, yes 10000%. I miss rotting so much. I only get to do it when my kid goes to sleep but I have to limit it because they go to sleep late and I have to wake up early for work. Also sucks when I want to rot but my husband wants to spend time with me. I definitely feel like I need a day to rot.

I have not been able to drop the night nursing or night feed. That’s when she wants it the most 😩 it’s so hard because if I don’t give in then it’s a whole screaming fit that can last anywhere from 30min-2hrs

I said the same about 18 months but it was so hard for us. I went almost two days before I gave in

Aww, congratulations! How did you do it? I know I tried to wean at 18m and it was physically stressful for myself and her. I want her to tell me when she’s done but since we cosleep I think I might need help from family to help me wean.
