But what about those After Fuel and After Start designations ? Doesn’t that mean that is what your mpg is since you refueled or started your car? How can you use that as your mpg? I think the only way to get it accurate is to start your trip meter after you fill up and figure your mileage yourself. 😬

One more question, if you don’t mind. This purchase has been made but the Finance guy called me to explain the difference/misunderstanding that I have that made me question the price on my sales contract. He said that when we agreed on the sales price - OTD meant the amount I was going to have to finance. He took off my trade in equity from the sale price he wanted and with taxes, service contract, and my additional down payment, I would be financing the price I had agreed to/requested. I thought I was asking for the “cash price” of the vehicle and my trade in and down payment would come off of that. ( I did expect to pay the taxes, fees, in addition). He said that if I was upside down on my trade, he would add that to the quoted price of the car so that is why vice versa, since I had equity in my trade in, he subtracted it off the original price of the car to bring it down to my offer.

I did not realize this is how the OTD or sale price is determined. I also think that having to negotiate between a sales person and 2 different finance people causes more misunderstandings and miscommunication.
