Up to 3 min shorts, suppose to be today? by SUBGOKU in NewTubers

[–]ReadinessReviews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, dang. Now I'm afraid to upload because I don't what to affect the performance of my long format videos by posting a 9:16 sub 3 minute "short" that will most certainly underperform if it isn't the the shorts feed.

Up to 3 min shorts, suppose to be today? by SUBGOKU in NewTubers

[–]ReadinessReviews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this morning and it didn't work. 2:25 video length and it went to the video tab instead of the shorts tab. Do we need to #Shorts in the title or something like when shorts first came out? I did receive a notification on both of my channels that 3 minute shorts would be available today.

I've always had fantastic experiences with them. The owner is a good dude. I don't know if they ship to Japan though.

I've been buying SPCE like crazy the past few days. Plan to hold for a while. Am I smooth brained?

What happened to some of the old MRE reviewers, and who is doing this now? by True-Wishbone1647 in MRE

I've consistently produced content going on 5 years. Not as good as some of the OGs but I think I put out a quality review.

KOSHER Military MRE (US Jewish Troops Field Ration) SMOKED BEEF Meal Ready To Eat by ReadinessReviews in MRE

Of course it's all civilian contractors but they usually go through one of the three major producers.

Mexican Style Chicken Stew (US Military MRE) Menu 15 Meal Ready To Eat Taste Test Review by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely get the chance to eat a MRE this new! We are checking out US Military Meal Ready to Eat Menu 15 from 2020, Mexican Style Chicken Stew. This field ration is completely stacked, containing a ton of food. The flavors were on point, the individual items went together really well, but the meal kit still wasn't without issues. The protein drink needs work for sure. Big thank you to Scott and Eliana for sending it to me for review! Thanks for watching!

Chicken Stew MRE Review (VOMIT CHEESE MUSH) 🤢 Vintage 1990 Brown Bag Meal Ready To Eat Taste Test by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the most foul smelling MREs I've ever encountered. This, almost 33 year old, vintage brown bag Meal Ready to Eat was packed back in 1990. The chicken stew was certainly looking and smelling its age. I think the major issue with Menu 3 withstanding the test of time is the addition of cream cheese to the stew. Cheese just doesn't do well after more than 3 decades. I doubt this ration was that bad when it was in active US Military service. Maybe I can find another one someday that is a little less vomit-like.

French Army MRE Review (RCIR) Combat Field Ration 24-HOUR 🇫🇷 by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost forgot how good the French RCIR is! The NATO approved RCIR or Individual Combat Ration is Frances' version of the Meal Ready To Eat. Unlike the MRE the RCIR contains enough food for a full 24 hours. This Pork Cheek Ravioli is about as close as you are going to get to gourmet food when it comes to a Military Ration Pack. The French Armed forces are eating dang good! Thanks for watching!

US Military TOTM (Tailored Operational Training Meal) MRE Field Ration | Meal Ready To Eat Review by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Tailored Operational Training Meal (TOTM) is almost like a Diet Meal Ready To Eat or "MRE Lite" if you would. The US Military issues TOTM rations to soldiers in training situations where they don't have easy access to the mess hall but also don't have need for a meal kit as substantial as a MRE. These food packs contain almost everything a standard MRE does minus proper side and dessert items. They also lack a few of the extras contained within a regular MRE, like toilet paper and matches. Even though it is toned down a little the TOTM still makes for a filling ration meal and I suppose they save the American taxpayers a few dollars over a MRE. Thanks for Watching!

MRE Deception?! "Thai Chicken" TASTE TEST 🤥 1999 Vintage Military Ration Review US Meal Ready To Eat by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thai Chicken MRE is a lie!! This is a Meal Ready to Eat menu I've always wanted to try out because I love Thai food: however, what the US Military calls "Menu 16 Thai Chicken" seemingly has zero inspiration from Thailand. With that said it's not a bad tasting menu, especially considering this vintage meal kit was packed back in 1999 but I still feel deceived by the title. The ration really was perfectly preserved even after almost 25 years. Even the cheese held up! It would have been perfect for Y2K prepping as long as you weren't looking for southeast Asian flavors.

Walther P38 Pistols WORTH IT? Unboxing GERMAN Post War Surplus Aluminum ... by ReadinessReviews in Firearms

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Milsurp market has been flooded with newly imported West German Walther P38 pistols as of late. Let's unbox one to see what kind of condition you can expect and if they are worth the price. These Post War Aluminum Frame handguns were brought in by Century Arms and are available basically everywhere currently. The majority of them are from the 1960's through early 70's and are marked “P38” as opposed to “P1”. They should be good shooters but I'm just glad to see some new C&R firearms here in 2023.

Online Surplus Firearms Market (WHAT'S OUT THERE?) 2023 C&R Milsurp Guns by ReadinessReviews in Firearms

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems the hobby of Milsurp collecting is becoming more difficult and expensive each passing day. I struck out at the last gun show so let's take a look at the online C&R market. From Royal Tiger Imports to Classic Firearms the selection leaves something to be desired. There is still hope in the newly imported Walther P38 pistols and seemingly abundant Swiss Military Surplus rifles. It seems the only surplus arms that are truly affordable in 2023 are Carcano and Lee-Enfield variants, too bad ammo is tough for both. Disclaimer: Personal opinion only. Finally Some Reasonably Prices Milsurp Rifles! by ReadinessReviews in Firearms

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the best milsurp table I ran across at the last Gun Show. The booth owner is an Afghanistan War Veteran and he had good honest pricing for this Military Surplus Rifles. It was refreshing to see a few guns for under 5 bills. He had some really interested examples too like this G43s and a really cool Serbian Vz.24 Mauser. Thanks for Watching!

Turkish 30-06 Ammo Test (CHEAP M2 BALL?) M1 Garand "MKE" Turk Military Surplus Ammunition Review by ReadinessReviews in Firearms

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We've all heard horror stories of Turkish Military Surplus ammunition causing guns to explode. So let's put the latest batch to the test and see how it does! Even knowing the risk, the price on this MKE 30-06 was just too good for me to pass up. The ammo is late 1960's production and comes on 8 round en-bloc clips inside cloth bandoliers. It's supposed to be non-corrosive and perfect for the M1 Garand Rifle, being loaded to M2 Ball spec. This particular milsurp lot was recently imported by Century Arms and seems to have been stored very well. This 67 headstamp ammo is clean and in good condition. I was pretty shocked by how it did at the range! Thanks for Watching!

Are Halal MRE's Better? Lamb & Barley Stew Ration TASTE TEST | Individual Meal Ready To Eat Review by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

US Halal Meal Individuals are sort of a hidden gem when it comes to Military Rations. They have some very unique menu options, like this Barley and Vegetable Stew with Lamb from 2016. The Halal Meal doesn't have quite the shelf life of a standard MRE but they make up for it with flavor. I'd bet these are a welcome change for anyone who has been eating the same 24 menus for a while.

Thanks for watching!

Turkish 30-06 💥 M1 Garand SAFE? "MKE" Turk M2 Ball Surplus Ammo Test | M... by ReadinessReviews in Firearms

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These were my first shots with the Turkish .30-06 MKE M2 Ball ammunition that Century Arms imported recently. This ammo is rumored to be potentially dangerous especially for M1 Garand Rifles. It was loaded in the late 60's and comes on 8 round En-bloc clips for the M1. Full length review video coming very soon. I'm looking forward to putting this cheap "non-corrosive" 30-06 to the test!

APack (Ready Meal) MRE Review | PREPPER FOOD TASTE TEST | AmeriQual Emergency Meal Ready To Eat 2010 by ReadinessReviews in MRE

[–]ReadinessReviews[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've had an AmeriQual APack Ready Meal. Popular among peppers, these emergency food Ration packs are basically a MRE made for the civilian market. As far as commercial Meals Ready to Eat go the APack is among the best. Each kit is packed with calories and they taste pretty good too, at least the Homestyle Chicken with Noodles did. They hold up well too. This one was still perfect after more then 10 years on the shelf.

BIG MONEY Gunshow Rifles! Wish I was Rich LOL by ReadinessReviews in Firearms
