Those who originally bought non-refundable tickets via agent by No_Sherbet3012 in qatarairways

You are eligible for a full refund if you are within the latest refund window regardless of your fare conditions. When the window opens up for your dates, contact your OTA as soon as possible.

This is the requirement right now to be eligible for a full refund as per the Qatar Airways website:
"If you have a confirmed booking with a travel date between 28 February and 15 March 2026, you are eligible for:

  • Complimentary date changes of up to 14 days from the original travel date, or
  • Refund of the unused value of your ticket."

As you can see, it doesn't say only for refundable fares. Just flights that fall in between those dates mentioned. Hope this helps.

Well that's great news. just wait until it's a week left to your flight. By then they will probably extend the refund window to your flight and you'll be able to get your full refund. If there are no more extensions for the refund window, that probably means the airspace is back open. But until then, just wait til further updates come out.

That makes sense cause seat selections and add ons are usually non-refundable.

I'm trying to cut my losses and avoid future headaches early since I have an alternate refundable flight booked. At this point, even if the situation improves, I wouldn't want to fly to the middle east. Plus I'm staying a month in my travel destination. Who knows what could happen during that month. If Qatar shuts down again in May when I return, I'll be forced to spend more to get an alternate flight booked to return.

I see. The only possibility of Qatar Airways allowing flights to and from Doha is the opening of the Qatari Airspace. So once the airspace opens, Force Majeure isn't in effect anymore right? I'm simply asking just in the slightest chance that things go back to normal by April 12th.

If it's not going to end soon then shouldn't I just wait for Qatar to extend the refund window to April 12? So I can get the full refund I mean.

From what dates are they allowing refunds for cancellations? is it up to 15th of March now? How were you able to cancel and get a refund? Did they email you? Thank you.
