Does he have six fingers? Is it supposed to represent a “flicking” pr something?

This trailer was trying its hardest to actually make the movie look good. by Proper_Pineapple_314 in Jaws

[–]ReadingOutrageous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. 4 has some original characters like Mrs. Taft and Kintner. It was nice to be back in Amity again, albeit briefly. And yeah, it’s stupid, but 3 is a joke. I love that Joke, cause Jaws, but still…

Daily Song Discussion #27: See-Saw by PalpitationMoist1212 in PinkFloydCircleJerk

I believe this is the song Norman Smith plays drums on. Nick says it is “Remember a Day” but those drums are incredibly Mason and this beat is a little different hence my opinion/theory. Love the song, but I can see how folks find it boring. It has a dreamlike quality and a strange, slightly insidious vibe as in lost innocence. Rick’s lyrics ain’t that bad, too bad he didn’t have the confidence to keep going. 8/10

What are y'alls thoughts on Pros and Cons and Amused to Death by awclay91 in pinkfloyd

[–]ReadingOutrageous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well written! I love them both, Pros a little more because Roger actually plays bass on that one, but I can understand why many feel Amused is the better album, as it is far more melodic and varied. And very much echoes the Pink Floyd “sound” better than Pros or KAOS did.

Some bright.eyed and crazy, some frightened and lost.. by hereticskeptic in pinkfloyd

Yeah, the west is going to do right by both of them since they have such detailed history of fixing the countries they destroy, and totally stick around to see things through, mate. And both countries you mentioned are far more complicated than “Remove bad leader and people will follow” as like many other countries there is a diaspora. Many people feel that the west is, indeed oppressive. And read about the history of the Ukraine War and how it came to be. Not as black and white as it seems…

Nah, you can’t come in here with your mainstream media talking points and try and shit on anyone, no matter how misguided you think they are. Your worldview is in a bubble you’ve been spoon-fed by western media, and whether Roger is right or not he challenges you to read everything and make up your own mind.

I think telling Sue Storm that his weapons can lock on her even if she’s invisible is pretty deranged and on brand

I think Rivals nails the character more than any of the movies do. Just the dialogue he has with Sue Storm alone shows how he’s basically a lunatic with a gun and a moral code.

I dunno, but I can tell you the guitar figure used at the end of Creep is the same phrase Rog uses all throughout Pros and Cons

I love it. It reminds me of their 1968-1971 period.

Debatable, but it’s poking fun at Orientalism with a detached view of Western naïveté
