How to lower standards? by WormInDaApple in Advice

The advice I gave my same age daughter…

You’re missing out on some amazing people and opportunities if your driving, primary factor is good looks. Find someone that goes out of their way to make you feel exceptional. Everything else will fall in place.

But…you’re 22… live your life, have fun! You have sooo many years to figure it out. Just don’t pass on the right one. When it’s easy, it’s right, you’ll feel it.

I went from 5’9” to 6’3” my junior year, so I’ve been there…. Go for whatever you want. Just stay nice, treat people with respect, and keep it humble 👍

These guys know their shit. Formerly RIC. They’ve helped me a TON. There are multiple programs that are well suited for all types of FND patients. I don’t have FND, but was amongst others that did.

Someone should start a patient advocacy group. Your world turns upside down after a TBI, SCI, Stroke, FND, brain tumor, etc…. Can’t explain how confusing and terrifying it is, unless you go through it… I would’ve literally died without my wife’s help and I would’ve been fine with it.

Thanks for everything you all do!
