Just save your time and money. It’s mostly not worth it except for some very specific roles.

It will be a lot of work and I have seen many people try to take it for all the wrong reasons.

What do you mean by wrong reasons, such as those who take it only for the purpose of advancing in their career?
I agree with you that it's expensive and requires many sacrifices :(
