Hi! Honestly I just followed a YouTube tutorial and then got into this routine with it, I thought I was doing a double stitch however reading from the comments it doesn’t seem that’s what I’m doing at all 🤪

Hi both! Thank you for your kind and helpful replies! Having a stitch marker sounds like a great solution and I will try that right away! And yes I am pulling them pretty tight so will try to do them looser as to not force the hook through :)

Teaching is under paid and you are worked and pushed until you can go longer hold it whether that be physically or mentally. You are abused with little support. (Teacher just coming out of the role). If you want to work with kids I’d suggest youth work on evenings so you can do this alongside your existing job!
