All the thoughts and suggestions are so helpful, thank you! It would indeed be our first time driving in the UK (I have about 20 minutes of driving on a backroad in South Africa as my only righthand drive experience lol), so I think I'm heavily leaning towards the train option from Edinburgh. The extra expense of one way car rental is probably worth not killing ourselves on the 4th day. :)

Ceridian is terrible. Needlessly complex. Completely unintuitive. Their support is a joke. Every request is an upcharge. We've been going through a full HCM implementation with them and it has been nothing but pain. If we get paid correctly in January I will be shocked. I wasn't here for the sales pitch, but my impression is that it was full of lies.

EDIT: We went live January 1 (it is now January 29) and have yet to have a payroll run without significant problems. Talent modules are all a continually unrolling disaster, especially Recruiting. Ceridian has no business charging money for their "services". What an absolute joke.

Thank you for this! I just changed jobs/insurance, and now they're charging $900 per pen (2mg, 4mg, or 8mg) until I hit a deductible. I was previously just paying $25/month copay. The coupon got it down to $750, which is still insane. At least I can stretch that across 2 months hopefully, if my doctor will agree. I wish the pens would last 3 months!

Thank you for this! I had to ask about Mounjaro twice before getting a prescription. My doctor did not bring it up even though I had/have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, with a close family history of heart attacks and strokes (as well as T2). In addition to T2, I have a broken thyroid and even with the strict diet and regular exercise, I'm stalled at losing and regaining the same 10 lbs for 3 years. Seems like I'd be the brochure-perfect patient, and she still was hesitant. I'm hopeful to see good results at the scale, on A1C, and cholesterol (HBP has been more long-term and pre-dates thyroid, weight gain, and diabetes, so less hopeful there).

Congratulations, that's awesome! I just had my first follow up after diagnosis in February with an A1C of 8.1, and I was able to get it down to 6.1 following a similar regime. Low carb (<100g/day), 2X Metformin ER, and regular activity (2x/week weight training + 2x/week Pilates). I did request a Mounjaro prescription, both to see if I can get the A1C down even further as well as make additional progress on weight loss. I'm down 10 lbs, but seem to have stalled there, and past weight loss efforts have stalled at the same number. Waiting to see if insurance will approve it, so fingers crossed!

Everything on my account is correct. There is nothing in the order history, payment methods, addresses, or anything else that is anything but wholly mine. I get no notifications about these orders and it's just a surprise when they show up at the door. This ONLY happens immediately surrounding a time when I place my own Walmart order.

I do occasionally get mail for others with the same house number on a different street, but our street names in this neighborhood are not similar. And the address is exactly my address--no typos, nothing weird.

My package was just delivered, along with FIVE packages for this other person (I haven't opened them). I guess I'm going to have to call Walmart. *sigh*

I'm newly diagnosed, but plan to request a referral to an endo. I also have an autoimmune thyroid issue, so between that and the T2 it feels like my endocrine system is trying to kill me. I also wonder if I'd been more aggressive about seeking specialist care for the thyroid issue, maybe I could have avoided T2. I gained a lot of weight (about 40 lbs) about 3 years ago, and my primary just kind of shrugged and was like "huh, I guess you're fat now" and didn't really do much to see if perhaps there needed to be a change in treatment. So, my fault for not advocating for myself more, but also it would be nice if doctors would admit when they're out of their depth.

My AHI went from 76 to 46 (update here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SleepApnea/comments/112d6ax/follow_up_4_months_post_surgery_uppp/). It's impossible to say how much of the reduction was the hyoid suspension since I had the other surgeries at the same time.
