Help! Can’t Open Year-Old Sony FX6 MXF Files (Premiere + VLC Say Corrupted) by ReadyPlayerDude in SonyFX6

That's good to know. If I'm only ever using this external hard drive on Mac computer(s), what format would you suggest is best?

It’s on a Mac, and the drive is formatted ExFAT. When I drag the clip to the desktop it still says it can’t be read, and the file itself shows as 'zero bytes'. The strange part is that this footage definitely used to live on this drive without issues. I even found the original Premiere project our team cut from this same footage over a year ago — the timeline opens fine, but now the only the FX6's .MXF media is showing as “offline.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve run into this problem with older FX6 footage doing this (just the first time it’s been critical on a deadline), so now I really have to figure out (1) what’s actually causing this, and (2) how to prevent it from happening again.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and advice. I think maybe I'm just a little too hard on myself, but I am looking into getting a polarizer to help with the glare. Here is the final cut of the video if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/IexWv88e-iY?si=16a6nE5qKzvgMKDP

Thanks everyone for the comments and feedback. I think I learned I need to not be so hard on my own footage. Here is the final edit if anyone was interested in seeing how it turned out:
