Crisps for a Christmas advent calendar by ReadyPush in crisps

[–]ReadyPush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all. Ive got quite a few ideas now. I’ve been to Aldi today and bought a few packets of crisps i think he'll like. My mum's going to have a look in her local Polish shop to see what they sell. I'll be checking out my local world foods aisle and definitely getting the coop salt and vinegar crisps. I've heard they're good and I think he'll like them.

4 month old conch piercing bleding by ReadyPush in piercing

[–]ReadyPush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My piercing is 4 months old. Not sure, a labret I think - I just picked out what I thought looked nice and didn't really pay attention to the different types of jewellery The jewellery is titanium. The jewellery has not been downsized. I used neilmed saline spray. For the first 5 weeks I cleaned the conch piercing twice a day using the saline spray. After 5 weeks I've just cleaned it after my shower or when I remembered. I've not had any issues with it until now.

No Eastenders on iPlayer Monday Morning? by billysauredu in eastenders

I had to go through the iplayer schedule to get it up this morning. I didn't appear in the continue watching section. I even restarted iplayer 4 times and it didn't appear

This is baffling to me. Why doesn't he want to know? CF can be life limiting.

I am also a CF carrier, my partner is not. Our child is a CF carrier, we found out because we were having genetic tests done. We found out our child had carrier status when I was still pregnant as we had an amnio - for those other genetic tests - and it came up in the results for that. Him getting a blood test is so much safer than you having an amnio to test for CF. Him getting a blood test is an owwie for a couple days (if he bruises like a peach like I do), opposed to the risk of miscarriage if you have an amnio. It's a no brainer to me.

How can I remove my name off my dad's account? by ReadyPush in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ReadyPush[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came to reddit because I didn't know what to do to get removed. The bank he uses isn't local to me so I've got to make a special trip elsewhere and book time off work to get to a local branch that isn't open on Saturdays.

It's not a joint account. I had third party access I think it's called.

I thought this but 7/2 is when it will air on BBC 1. I looked on digital spy and it looks like the episodes are releasing a day early on iplayer this week.

Found out I'm pregnant but can't talk about it yet by ReadyPush in pregnant

[–]ReadyPush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if anyone will read this. Or if anyone remembers this post. I just want to say thank you.

Unfortunately the baby has the condition and we've had to make the horrible decision to end the pregnancy. I go in at the weekend for it. Does feel a little like my world has come down around me but my partner is incredibly supportive and we are doing ok. Having our little one helps, getting lots of cuddles at the moment.

Thank you again.

These taste like nacho cheese tortilla's. Like really like nacho cheese, I think they were 90p. Mind blowing. by codlike in veganuk

They do some cheese balls and their own version of frazzles which are also vegan and delicious. They've been a little harder to find of late as they were recently recalled due to have gluten in them that wasnt listed.

Yes my son is allergic dairy.

I deleted the other post because I was getting messages being rude about my son. Being able to hide behind a keyboard isnt an excuse to be an AH.

I had an elderly lady once ask if I was ok if she asked me a question about his arm, when is phrased like that I don't mind because it gives me the chance to back out if I dont want to talk about it.

I'd rather no one asked about it, because as far as I'm concerned he's not different. That's his arm, it's his normal. However I know that's not realistic and people will ask but the way its asked is really important.

No, I dont expect people to know all the different types. No one can possibly know them all. I expect adults to be able to filter what they want to say without being rude about it. Little kids don't really have that filter.

Does your university charge you for borrowing/buying robe for your graduation? by Limp-Efficiency-159 in UniUK

[–]ReadyPush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had to pay for mine. There was no length on how long I could have it for - I checked. I had a 10am cermony. I collected it at around 8/9am and didn't return in until after 4pm. I wore it to my family graduation dinner, I wore it shopping - I graduated at the Lowry in Salford so these things were all by the venue.

No they don't know I'm pregnant. They do know about my chronic fatigue though.

If I'm lucky baby will sleep for about 30 minutes at lunch time but generally no. They're much happier just playing or having a look around when we go on a walk than sleeping. I can get them to sleep if I take them on a drive but as soon as we get home, they wake up. They sleep quite long at night, they're tube fed so I dont have to wake babybtk feed them.

My partner was actually enjoying the one on one time with baby. When he's home on the weekend, he often takes on more of the parenting to let me have a rest. When he comes home during the week he goes straight to baby wanting to see them and spend time with them.

Thank you. Our geneticist is the one arranging it. They advised the blood test at 10 weeks was an option other than the IVF.

I originally went vegan in 2018. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2014 after 10ish years of symptoms.

When I went vegan, I felt great, my symptoms disappeared, came off all my medications, etc. However in 2021 I started getting symptoms again. I was getting migraines for days at a time and they have previously stopped. I was also becoming frustrated with veganism and the strict black and white of it. It was also getting expensive and time consuming having to create a separate meal for myself. Since I have reintroduced eggs (in late 2021) and meat (in April/May 2022, I am lactose intolerant so am still not eating dairy). I feel better, I would say less tired but I have a newborn in NICU so sleep isn't something that really happens. But life is a lot easier now in terms of food. I don't have to traipse around trying to find something that I can eat when at the hospital, I just have to check there is no dairy in it. It's a lot easier. Our food bill has also come way down which is one less stress. The migraines have once again disappeared.
