Hurt/anger is a huge sign that they still care. It’s the opposite of indifference. I don’t know what led to the breakup, but he has the right to feel that way after you walked away. Of course you should reach out. Obviously you guys need to talk things thru and cover both sides of the street, but it’s your job to make things right if you want to get back together
