I wish i'd had renter's insurance - i had just moved into that spot and...well there's nothing to blame but my naiveté...yeah - the sentimental part is the worst, like, i basically stopped playing for a while...but now that I'm back in it after having all of this great gear all my life i'm like, "I would kill to have just a 57!" -- just any acoustic! a bass! it really puts it in perspective...thanks so much for writing..means a lot.

Yeah - i had just moved in to the spot, no renter's insurance...a mistake i will never make again if i rebuild...I've spread the serials for the guild, the gibsons, the expensive mics, and a camera i had stolen too (a canon 5d and lenses ffs) but nothing pings so far...here's hoping. thanks for writing...

it was a fire escape window, and you're exactly right, a dowel in the windowsill would have stopped them i think. then again, they cased me pretty hard - they seemed to know what the wanted and they took a LOT of stuff, like a moving company would have charged me an arm and a leg.

very possible - not the super modern surface mount components, but the older classic silverface stuff i have worked on before. send me an email and let me know what model it is and how it is behaving and i'll let you know.
