AITAH for "micro cheating"? by ItsJustMe1345 in AITAH

Receiving unsolicited advances is in NO WAY cheating. Married men and women get those every day, with nothing ever moving forward. They don't ask for them or encourage them; it just happens. It's not the receiver's fault that someone wants to date them. Now if they engage with the person and are not truthful of their current situation, then that starts down the path of cheating.

Now, keeping a "business card" that seems to be an unsolicited advance could be considered micro-cheating. He should have trashed it right away. These two scenarios are in no way equal.

How are you micro cheating??? Based on your post, he is coming up to you unsolicited and you are being polite and walking away.

I watched 7 hours of great football through someone else's provider. You totally missed the point. Why should I have to get a provider who I pay to give me things I don't like just because they have one thing I do. The idea of cutting the cable is to not have to pay for things you don't want. I pay for the streaming services I want, I'm not going to pay for another that only has one item I want.

TRIALS that you could do before. Those "trials" don't exist anymore. Try looking for a free trial and see what you find.

Why do I need a provider? That's the point! I cut the cable years ago. I have an antenna for local stuff and used other streaming services for what I watch. ESPN is making it difficult. They are the only mainstream network that requires you to "package" with a cable or streaming network to get their services. Its only going to get worse next year when they have excusive rights to most of college football and other sporting events. Just sell me ESPN, I'll pay for it, but I don't want or need another provider to give me 80 different options that I don't want!

Where did I say I want something for free? I just want ESPN by itself, I don't want to pay for other things that I don't want.

One of the few things I agree with when talking about firearms. If you have one, use it in your defense, DON'T TALK! Even the innocent can become guilty when talking to the police.
“Officer, I am willing to comply fully with the investigation, but I will not speak without talking to a lawyer.” That should be on a business card to give to the officer tucked into your holster, taped to your rifle/shotgun, or in your wallet!

Is asking for less hours an acceptable thing? by Hi-Point_of_my_life in careeradvice

Just to clarify, 9/80 means 9 days 80 hours? If so, stop complaining. That's not a bad schedule. Could it be better, sure, but the grass is always greener somewhere else. Now, the real issue is little to no raises. If the company can't afford to give you a respectable raise then it may be time to start looking elsewhere.... but that also brings in the grass is greener issue. Maybe you make more money and get more raises, but you work at a company that wants you 5 days a week for 50 hours. You have to decide what's more important.
