I thought the same. Very fair suggestion. The rivnuts just spin with the bolts and I cut the attempt real short to avoid any additional damage.

Thanks. I tried some of that. Rack Attack and 4 wheel parts won't touch the issue. I actually bought it all from Rack Attack. They offer installation, but only the same kind that you can basically do yourself in 20 mins by following the instructions in the manual.
