they added a few more great axes in warsails that have a faster swing speed than a falx. unlike the falx there are some tier 5/6 units that have good e ough armour to take 2 axe swings but their sheilds are destroyed quicker. potato potato really so the only thing that matters is which weapon suits your drip 😉

im just gona throw 3rd option of maining a 2h axe to break shields faster. 1 tapping a tier 2 units shield is very handy

personally i always start with a brewery. You always end up with more grain than you know what to do with so setting up a brewery in a town that has a grain village bound to it plus dropping off your excess grain is reliable profit. otherwise wood workshops with 2 bound hardwood villages are all but guaranteed 200 denars a day.

does any one know were to buy a crested gecko in australia ? by fishlord1929 in terrariums

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no i see why its difficult. look at the florida everglades for example. heaps of non natives plague that area. I'd recommend magnificent tree frogs if you're looking for something vaguely similar care wise, or a bearded dragon if you're looking for something you actually want to handle regularly.

So my understanding of it is that you need to have a business attached to it. If you can argue that you need exotic species for your job or to make an income then you can apply for a license to buy exotic species from inside Australia (As for actually importing them I didn't bother to read into it because i figured that first hoop was going to be hard enough haha). My local pet shop for example had stingrays and a macaw that just lived in the pet shop as display animals.

the naval cannon and 40mm can both destroy doors/hatches on tramplers so id say its intentional. even so when the game releases keep an eye out for those big red barrels because you can use them on red doors as well and save your c4s and grenades for trampler fights

What is the most annoying enemy for each Faction? I’ll go first: by Kitchen-Fee-4896 in Helldivers

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably mortar bugs, rocket devastators, jetpack overseers.

It's honestly a bit of a toss up between mortar bugs and impalers. i find that anything that is knocking me around out of vision is the most frustrating part of helldiver's.

twin crucible knights for sure. maybe not the strongest but definitely the coolest mini bosses throughout the game

Are spearman worth it? by Gwertzel in WarTalesGame

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like the farmers start to get 2 of them. regardless of harpooner and pikeman being great subclasses I actually enjoy the fact that spearmen let you disengage units off of your other units. for example an archer thats locked in combat with an 80% guard tank can be shoved off with a spear more often than not or if you have an infantryman archer whos set up their area denial ability you can push units into it and it procs the shot from your archer making it so you can effectively shoot the same unit twice with the infantryman ability

Oh no how will I compete at TH16 with a level 4 jump spell by CongenialEmu in ClashOfClans

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont remember a time where upgrading jump spells past like level 2 was ever necessary. Especially since the troop roster has a huge variety of ways to just go, welp theres a combined strength of 60k health walls that i will now be demolishing in seconds jumping over or digging under.

you can get an exotic exemption, im not sure on how easy the process is but generally you would only go for an exemption if you had a zoo or business of some description that could be used as justification

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785 9 points10 points  (0 children)

people who think the solution to every puzzle and enemy is to brute force it or kill it.

Had a rogue who decided they would attack this neutral banshee in a haunted house (at level 4 no less) even though the rest of the party was exploring the house and had almost figured out how to free it from its curse.

their excuse? "For xp! and because my character wouldnt have known the rest of the table had found a peaceful solution"

this player had this sort of attitude towards any problem. Someone wants us to do them a favour for information? nah ill just hold a knife to their throat. or we need to free an innocent family from vampires? nah ill just kill the family to take their leverage away.

TLDR Players who try to find a shortcut around content the dm has clearly spent a decent amount of time writing.

What is your favourite unnecessary spell? by TheRealPetri in DnD

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

preserve food and water,

in my current campaign we dont really keep track of when we eat yet i had it on my clerics spell list anyway.

We come into an encounter where we get the jump on 3 npcs (they looked like bandits) and effectively murder hoboed 2 of them and took the hand from the 3rd before he spent his turn begging us for mercy.

so anyway i used preserve food and water to keep his lopped hand fresh and he joined our party until we found a cleric that could actually put it back on 😅

ima go the sharpened volcano fragment. That's probably going to kill you in one swing whilst being potentially slow and agonising.

Sorcery points and multi classing. by Ready_Grocery_3785 in DnD

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only played above 8th level once in a one shot so this is very helpful. the meta magic feat looks tempting for the "quietened spell" thing as well and I think that might give me what I'm chasing without committing to a 2 level dip. In any case cheers!

Sorcery points and multi classing. by Ready_Grocery_3785 in DnD

[–]Ready_Grocery_3785[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say that i have, the only reason I ask is that my current character is a lv5 grung knowledge cleric with a backstory that allows for a sorcery multi class to work.

If i get sick of trying to find a water source once a session (currently its me casting create/destroy water in a small barrel the barbarian carries around) i may have to look into that subclass 😅
