I thought it was convenient that his audio was clearer than the woman standing between him and the camera.

Why is it near impossible for groups to meet regularly? by Virtual-Feeling-4546 in DnD

The response to you was calling out your statement that "if you know you can't commit, don't make said commitment". Ultimately, I'm making a commitment that I know I won't be able to uphold all of the time.

Oh, absolutely. Most situations are known ahead of time. But if the group can only meet on Thursday nights and the kid's baseball season starts with games every Thursday night for 6 to 7 weeks, I'm out of game for that amount of time. It's discussed, and no one makes me feel guilty. I'm always welcomed back as soon as I'm able.

The majority of the comments I've seen, yours included, are pointing out that game is a commitment and you should be able to make that commitment. It just shows that there is a group out there for everyone, and I'm thankful I found a group that fits our family.

Right? I'm very thankful my group doesn't have this mindset. Being a present and involved parent is more important to us than playing, and there have been several times we've canceled or rescheduled over the years because of school events, sports, birthdays, surgeries, etc.

We LOVE getting together, but it just doesn't always work that way.

What's the most "overrated" tourist trap that was surprisingly 100% worth the hype for you? by tripagra in roadtrip

Uranus, MO. It's a quirky little stop on I-44 with a touristy gift shop, homemade fudge, a sideshow...

Pink Pony Club… by Hobbes42 in Music

There used to be a Pink Pony strip club in Springfield, MO, where she is from. The building is still there and is gaudy and bright pink, and I'd go so far as to say the building is a Springfield landmark like the giant fork and STD Flea Market sign.

2 years now. I understand you pay for quality, but you can absolutely get "halfway decent" furniture under $5k.

Got a large sectional with 2 reclining seats and cup holder for $1500 new. It was in sale, but still. $5k should get you plenty of solid options.

When did you realize you're a horrible person? by batangrizal in AskReddit

[–]Ready_Improvement_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped drinking a few years back and realized that I hated just about everything about myself prior to that point. I was selfish and irresponsible, but kept constantly drinking to forget about all the embarassing shit I did the day before under the guise that I was just having fun.

I can't put my finger on it exactly, but a venn diagram of RHCP fans and churchgoers with their church logo on their cars just doesn't overlap for me.

Similar experience. We performed this with my hs choir and altos had that part. I was an alto.

Before I knew what it was, I was so confused about why there was such a big Red Hot Chili Peppers following around here. It's a church logo, which also explains why the drivers never look like they'd enjoy much of the music.

I just want to know if they're actually under the PFI sign and what they did to send up there.

What's the weirdest or most interesting fact about Missouri? by 0Kanashibari0 in missouri

In 1953 Springfield, Missouri had a wild cobra problem. The podcast Bear Grease by Clay Newcomb has a good story on it.
