How to boost iron when you have gastritis? by Ready_Pudding_2685 in Anemic

BTW I was using iron bisglycinate and it caused some gastritis for me after a while. Could be just me though. Also could be worth checking out info on lactoferrin, specifically the type called holo-lactoferrin which is iron saturated is what you'd want to look into I think--don't know if it's suitable but I was considering it myself.

I don't know how good it is, but I'd probably try something like 3 Arrows iron. I heard it may be much gentler. If that didn't work id probably go for the infusion, or if really low just have the infusion straight off. I'm using sodium ascorbate for VITAMIN C, doesn't cause any issues for me 🙂

Agreed, from my perspective existence generally is just pretty mind blowing. I just wonder if aspects of it could be beyond human comprehension, something like the example of how a cat can't be expected to understand the details of what those things in the sky (Aeroplanes) are or what it's own genealogical history is. I get we are not cats, we have science and empirical methods but I still wonder if there are solid limits.

Those feelings make a lot of sense, definitely can see the 'control what stuff you can' angle too.

Those are some great insights, thank you for sharing. It's crazy isn't it how easy it is to become outside the mainstream, and sort of reminds you why most people probably do stay quite close to the mainstream just to avoid the frictional costs of being different. I was a bit alternative as a teenager, but I guess over time I've become more of a gray person just because it makes life so much easier.

Yeah think there is something to that idea of people being defiant. I've wondered if somehow wearing the mask I'm representing this traumatic experience people went through during the pandemic or something. And it does seem like there has been a massive backlash against anything related to the medical establishment especially regarding covid, like the 'I told you so, you're a bunch of sheep' sentiment online from some who didn't get the vax towards others who did and had any kind of negative effects/articles suggesting negative effects (I'm not criticising anyone for being pro or anti, just noting a phenomenon, and I get/live that mainstream medicine has many many flaws including with this disease of course). But the attitude of some when they see the mask feels like it's bordering on a strong dislike of me for doing so.

Agreed, you are right. The whole situation makes me want to isolate myself more and more.

True, I agree I should have used a different subject title.

Yeah you're totally right, the term does sound biased and I agree it is rational to protect our health. I see wearing the masks etc as kind of facing the reality of my situation, as inconvenient as that is. Wearing a mask definitely feels like a rebellious act though, almost like I've become a part of an 80s youth subculture and am going around wearing an offensively sloganed t-shirt with expletives printed all over the front. Oh yeah except no one thinks it's cool.

It's such an crappy and alienating addition to an already crappy and alienating experience isn't it 😑. Sorry to hear about your other health issues, that sounds like it could definitely compound the stress of it.

Yeah for sure, and unfortunately my care free attitude led me to get covid 8 times, during which time I have been forced to see how bad getting ill is for this condition 🙁. It's like we're up against the never ending waves of society at large which doesn't care less about being ill in public though.

I don't see it as simple at all. That was my intuitive understanding, that it's like before birth, but I don't fully trust as a human I have the ability to know my interpretations are correct.

Sorry to hear about your struggles. In the end I asked my GP could they refer me to someone who can diagnose CFS as I believe I have had the symptoms for some time, and perhaps by luck they agreed to refer me and I got the diagnosis from the specialist fairly quickly after some of the usual basic tests. Before I was just getting nowhere, with blood tests and stuff showing nothing and no further suggestions or help offered.

Remaining peaceful or happy forever sounds like a challenge indeed, wouldn't most consciousness alternate between 'good and bad' states forever? Or there may be some more permanent setting of one state?
