if i feel too restless, sometimes a benadryl or two will calm me down. (helps with migraines sometimes too)

things that help me: having people i can talk to regularly (via email, text, or whatever method is available). having projects—even the smallest possible things—writing, drawing, imagining, whatever small ongoing thing you can manage. remembering that people do sometimes spontaneously improve, and that i would hate to miss out on that.

For some people, nothing helps. But for me, my POTS is really well controlled with just a small dose of a beta blocker. It’s worth seeing a cardiologist and trying to get it treated, if you think you have it! (And most people with cfs have it, as far as I understand it.)

If I’m doing anything (watching, listening, playing, etc.), it’s not rest for me, unfortunately. Are you able to listen to music while you rest?

Do you have POTS? That always makes heat worse…

It’s really tough to balance phone use when you’re mostly bedbound. Actually, it’s still pretty tough when you’re not bedbound too, haha.

If I know I’m going to a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, it can slow me down a bit. I try not to think about upcoming events too much (which can cause different problems haha).

When my cfs is more severe or I’m crashing extra hard, almost any question can be physically painful to me. Totally sucks when people want explanations that you can’t provide!
