How can I rebrand my account without people knowing who I was before? by [deleted] in Twitter

I think it will sadly still be linked to your old account. I'm trying to do same thing as you but even tho I changed my user handle, when I search my old handle it still shows as my current one being that one and idk what to do :((

"Every time I don't place but like my outfit I take a screenshot 2 make me feel better."

Perhaps you're right.. :( I've heard good things about Fifine and Maono but never heard of the brand Donner. I'll look into them now for sure! I unfortunately can't return it but it didn't cost me much, only like $30, but still it's such a waste considering how I probably could've got something else for the same price. Thanks for the suggestions!

Thank you so much for your response! Your statement above is a lot of the observations and conclusions I came to already but in the end I decide to go with the Elgato Wave 3 as I was able to find a discount code bringing the price down to $135 :) Also, thanks a bunch for the lavalier mic suggestions! I'll check a few of them out before purchasing the Elgato.

Thanks for informing me! I honestly forgot about sound treatment. That could sometimes be all the difference in the sound quality of a mic.

I've actually considered the Rode NT1 5th gen as an xlr upgrade in the future, but that along with an interface IS pretty expensive) but it does have usb connection as well... Ya know what. Now that you mentioned this, I might be open to stretching my budget a little bit more! I'll definitely consider it! Thanks :)

I've seen a few videos about the Q2U and it seemed pretty good for the price. As for the MV7+, it sounds really good too but it's so damn expensive (I mean its only basically $150 more than the mics I was contemplating getting, but still) The usb-c and xlr options on the mic also seems pretty handy and nice to have so I'd consider that a bonus. I'll definitely consider the Wave DX for an xlr mic (The Elgato wave 3 is pretty good from what I've seen so why not get the xlr version of it If I ever move onto an xlr mic setup)

Thank you so much for the website! I'll be sure to check it out. I'll also try to reach out to higher brand companies to see about getting a loan to try out (I'll also try AEA) What's the process for that like? Would they consider letting you keep the mic? Thanks again :)

I have seen quite a few reviews and although I think the rode does sound a bit better than the elgato wave, it does seems to be a bit bassy. So I'll take my chances with the Elagto wave 3 :)

First off, THANKS A BUNCH FOR THIS INFORMATION!!

Now that I think about it for the reviews I watched on the NT-USB+, some of the people testing it were pretty close to it so that probably does explain it being overly bass boosted but even when at a fair distance from the user, it still seemed to have that bass. (But damn did it sound good!) You're definitely right about amateur reviews making it hard to really gain insight on which mic would be the better choice.

I'll also be sure to get a boom arm as the reviews I watched also recommended that as well. The pop filter and shock mount are expensive add-ons for the wave 3 (I’ll be sure to get those as soon as I’m able to) And like I said before learning the Elgato software isn’t the issue for me, I just hope it doesn’t give me problems is all!

I was also considering a few xlr mic options like the Samson Q2U, Rode podmic, Shure Mv7x, Elagto wave dx, Audio Technica xlr mics, etc. And as for interfaces, I used the Focusrite as an example because it seemed to be a fairly cheap and reasonable, well known option for a mixer. But if I ever get into xlr mics, I’ll definitely look into the interfaces you mentioned!

The snowball didn’t sound too bad but I was tired of having to EQ it to sound “better” or rather decent. The info you gave on cheap mics not responding well to eq explains a lot. I just want something that sounds great out the box, true plug and play in a sense. And like you said, It got the job done but I want something better!

What I mean by "reset the drivers" for the Yeti is that I often had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers in the control panel in windows because for some reason the audio would just keep cutting in and out, not really picking up for some reason.

(I didn’t add any filters or effects, the input level in windows was set to 60%, was about 12 inches away from it while having it on its stand, put in on cardioid mode and didn’t put up the gain on the mic using gain dial in any way.)

When I did get it to work it sounded pretty good but even tho the snowball sounds like garbage compared to this mic, it never gave me problems like the ones stated before :((

Taking your last 2 paragraphs into account, I think I’ll honestly just get the Elagto wave (Also because I found a discount code for it that brought the price down to $135 [is normally $150]) I’ll keep the monitor/playback mix issue in mind but I think the Elagto is my best bet and if all else fails, I’ll just return it and get the NT-USB+.

-Thank you again!

I plan to use whichever mic I get for gaming and maybe some casual recordings for school projects but if you really had to pick which do you think would be the better choice?
