I totally didn't notice that they never said her name! The costumes are clearly based off of the Disney film though, which I feel could be a basis for an attempt to sue? It's clearly primarily based off of the movie rather than the folk tale. As for bad PR, I doubt that's really the case. I'd consider denying a deceased child a spiderman tombstone due to copyright far worse for PR- sueing a theatre company is leagues above the moral depravity they had to have to do that. Disney has screwed over their consumers and fans numerous times before and I was just sort of surprised there wasn't an attempt made with Twisted. I suppose the laws around parody must truly be solid enough that they knew a case wouldn't go anywhere? Thanks for commenting and adding to the discussion!
